I dig it.

The only thing I'm not liking is the massive arm guard/blade things but from the look of them they're removable.

Looks like what I'd expect: a cross between Animated and Movie designs just like the series.

But how nice for a first look to be from Hasbro pics rather than 'leaks' from the factories.

Speculation is that this is the Generations Arcee (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=9755) listed by Walmart, not a G1 figure so many hoped for.

WANT. Looks like Prime will retain the features I liked most about Animated: screen accuracy and great poseability.

I'd find that incredibly amusing if that ends up being true. :D

A very nice figure indeed and I agree that they do seem to be aiming for a 'as show accurate as possible' approach to this line or wave - whatever it may be. ;)

They've done really well with Arcee here.

I was thinking that too. Although it would be nice to have a G1-esq Arcee, I'm more than happy with the Animated version.

If Hasbro does have a Generations Arcee in the pipes, we should have seen it already since the movie is just around the corner.

I really dislike these simplistic faces, makes it look kiddy somehow.

Also the fact that this may mean there is no Generations Arcee, also makes me unhappy.

I hope that isn't the case. I was looking forward to seeing what Hasbro would come up with for a Generations Arcee.

I am also disappointed in this Arcee.

Although it is another screen accurate figure, I like many G1 fans was hoping for a G1 Arcee to be produced before the TF:Prime version.

The fan made figures are purely too expensive for most collectors.

Confirmed now I guess (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/toy-fair-2011-aftermath-hasbro-mp-rodimus-the-end-of-pcc-and-much-more/20817/). There's no G1 Arcee toy planned by Hasbro for Generations at this stage.

Shame really. I was hoping to get an affordable G1-esque Arcee. Doubt I will see that day. And before people say Animated Arcee, I do not consider her to belong in my collection, so that figure is out of the question.

Boo Hasbro! :(

BBTS (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=IGR10017&mode=retail) has come to your rescue. ;):D
I had a feeling that this might happen, Hasbro likes it's fan only so much. :o

Not many fans will like that price either i imagine!

That price is really high. As much as I'd love to, I don't have the funds to justify getting that figure. My missus would kill me if I spend more money on TFs atm :o

Yeah, I agree it is pricey but if one bares in mind the fact that HasTakTom are clearly not producing a G1 Arcee any time soon, that these beauties are 'Hand Made' hence a much higher quality/standard in construction than other 3rd party items and if one really, really, really wants a G1 Arcee - Then these figures start becoming a very considerable option. ;):)

Still, it would be nice to see HasTakTom actually produce a friggin' figure of a character that customers have been screaming for, for the better part of a quarter of a century too!

True, but when you don't have the money to throw around, I just can't afford it, even though I really do want it.

C'mon HasTak... give us Classicsverse Arcee already! And I know Hasbro has this penchant now for wanting to repurpose their CHUGUR moulds for other characters, but they could easily redeco a Classicsverse Arcee as Elita-1 (or almost any other of the female Autobots really, if Hasbro fears having two pink Autobots might not appeal to retailers).

Animated Arcee is the closest legit toy to G1 Arcee made to date. And I don't think her Animated-esque aesthetics is as strong as other Animated toys. There's also Binaltech Arcee - yeah I know she's just a repaint of Decepticharge, but at least she's a car.

The closest legit toy to the G1 Arcee model would be SCF or HOC Arcee, but of course, they don't transform. Or move. Those who attended Sydney SupaNova 2003 may remember seeing SCF Arcee at the OTCA booth's "Death of Optimus Prime" diorama ;)

Getting somewhat back on topic, I personally think Prime Arcee looks okay (in these doctored photos anyway :p). Looks better than the ROTF bikes anyway.

The only really nice Hasbro Arcee is Animated Arcee, and this coming from someone who dislikes Animated toys. The first movie Arcee was kinda decent too, except for the face, and now there is this Prime one. What is it about Arcee and bad face sculpts.

I have been keeping my eye on that toy for a while, and while I do like it, I find the price a bit to high to justify for a toy the size of a deluxe. Maybe I'll crack but probably not until the toy is long sold out.

I don't really have much hope for a Hasbro Classic stlye Arcee, but I secretly hope that Fansproject will one day do a take on her based on the not Arcee bot in the Protector comic. If they did she would be less G1 like, but I imagine much better money to value ratio.

To be honest I'm not really that keen on Arcee, I just want to finish of my Clasicverse TF the Movie cast.

Well, that sucks we won't be seeing a G1 Arcee anytime soon  I knew that that product listing was too good to be true...
