I'd highly recommend it dude, it makes the figure look that much better. ;):)
*Note: Marked as for Ages 18+

First thought: The Katana and Dagger are F****** Sharp! - I fumbled the Katana and when I went to grab it I put only the slightest downward pressure on it and it punctured my thigh... :rolleyes::p
The materials used in the set's composition are of great quality and the chrome is excellently applied. ;):cool:
There isn't any cause for concern when sheathing the Katana or Dagger either as they are 1.5mm to 2mm smaller in dimension so there is plenty of clearance but be wary; as the blades are constructed using stiffer/harder plastics they would easily snap if you tried to bend them the way you can with hte original ones. :o
Inserting the weapons into his hands are far easier and safer as they slide into the hands as opposed to the originals "Go on, I dare you" approach. :eek::D
The only real fiddly thing I found was removing the old head as you can't rotate it far enough to give a screw driver proper clearance to line-up and undo the screws, so inadvertently you'll end up burring the head of the screws a little. :o


Overall, an excellent set and I only hope that Headrobots will do more heads for more figures - I'm looking your way ROTF Mindwipe. :D

There's a ledge just behind the edge plus the top slopes in a little bit.

VP is correct, the top one was f8 and the lower one f29. There's a bit of blurring for the second because it was hand held.

thank VP :rolleyes: hahaha, i was trying to control the fire when doin this shot it actually almost most burnt him...@gamblor - this is a very difficult shot to capture for this one as i had to use this mineral liquid as the fire starter on a glass table so fire stays longer. slower shutter speed gives the effect... very difficult not the shot i wanted but pretty suprise with the out come, might try again tonight. Having the fire as the only way of light for the figure to come out this is probably the biggest challenge for me.

Didn't bother to wipe down the figures or the area prior to taking the pics - they were kinda done in between drink breaks whilst building my master grade Gundam. :p

Thanks VP, I bought a DVD off ebay called "learn how to use your SLR camera" thought it would be crap but have learned a bit from it. Mainly how to take photos like the Scourge and Starscream ones, and how to focus on one subject and then how to get both in focus. Plus it was only cheap so it was worth it :D
But i will just keep messing around with the camera and see what i can come up with :D

Holy crap these are good, I'm always repeating myself (I know) but truly they are; Deceptic's action shots look amazing, Vector's profiles and portraits are so incredibly sharp and vibrant, Tetsuwan is nailing the Glow effects in 0% lighting conditions and Rampagesss's shots are funny but of such clarity...

This thread is such a pleasure to look at regardless of the eye damage. ;):D

It is indeed a kit. One of the more enjoyable builds for quite a long time, I really recommend this kit. The gundam on the other hand is giving me a bit of grief but nothing I can't bash into place :rolleyes:

Hursti, the robots are from Martian Successor Nadesico (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martian_Successor_Nadesico) - they're the manned robots piloted by the protagonists. Those three are the zero-G units for space combat.

A couple more pics, as well - in the first pic, the dark blue Aestivalis (2nd from left) is a later-generation zero-G unit, while the brown one is an artillery unit.

Cheers man, the Red bloke is 1 of 3 Jewelords (http://www.ikp.uni-koeln.de/~scholl/rock/rock/jewellords.html) by the name of Flamestone. :)
The Jewelords were a tie-in/spin-off of the Rocklords (http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=rocklords&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCcQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FRock_Lo rds&ei=mgwUT4S1LKmziQeF1vBC&usg=AFQjCNG8NJ4a5Ydu_dfghDvQdeck0oiGMw&sig2=84Nu5aXhGH8ibpnPK9a6iA&cad=rja) toy line, but as they came out just as the line was cancelled, they saw minimal production numbers and are now somewhat rare. :cool:

I'm quite happy as I now own 2 of the 3 Jewelords, Flamestone & Solitaire, but the last bloke Suntsone is often the hardest to find and equally expensive. :o
Oh by the way, that Cannon looks like it could blow the side off of a planet! :eek:

We've been trying to brainstorm some ideas in the Australian Transformers Convention thread in the discussion section for things to sell at a potential future Ozformers booth/stall at one of the upcoming pop culture conventions. I had the idea that since we have so many talented photographers here that we could sell some prints. I know I'd want to buy some! You all produce some amazing toy photographs.

If you find any of my own pics of such a quality Jena, you're more than welcome to use them as I think that'd be a great idea; some of the guys here are absolutely insane-good so hopefully they might be up for it too. ;):cool:

My money's on the Amazon Princess though all the way.... just love how I found that better gold cord which makes a better "golden lasso" than the first one I bought - which was a bit limp and lighter in it's hue.:D Too bad it's not evident in my pics .. I dint manage to capture the shimmer it makes - it captures light well in the flesh making the golden lasso ... well. awesome hehehe

Your photos are very nice though, with the backdrop and good lightning... imagine what you can do with a DSLR.

Here is a tip, try not to bend and fold the paper backdrop too much so you dont see a line where the horizontal meets the vertical portion.

Well I'm quite pleased that I've got most of the necessary ingredients :D, a DSLR is a little whiles off though unfortunately but you're right about the creases and folds :o, unfortunately the way they were packaged led to them being like that so I'll have to see if there is a way of ironing them out without actually using an iron. :p

No, same camera but I'm just getting a little bit better at using it though I've also acquired a photo tent/box with a pair of lamps and I've swapped out the crappy coloured background material (That was creased and reflective to all heck :rolleyes:) in favour of a piece of black cardboard :cool:; not bad for a 7-8 y/o completely automated digital camera huh? - I know I was surprised. :)

Indeed, she really is a cool little deluxe; Alt mode-wise she is able to achieve quite a lot of Spider-based postures and poses and her Bot mode could've really only benefited from some wrist articulation IMO. :cool:

I was really chuffed with that particular shot as I think it is so synonymous with Spiders, really quite pleased with it and I think it only would've been better if I could've eliminated the stand from the shot. ;):)

Huge improvement and was supprise its was still the E3200 camera. What a big different a bit of lightning and background made. Very nice and pro looking I must say.


Was doing some noise experimentation earlier, so took some photos as well. I just grab a tshirt that around to used as the background, but I should had use a black background instead.

For those with lot of free time, can DIY your own light box. Get a box, cut it up, get some white fabric (muslin/etc) and line it up. Use 2 light source or more, 4000~4300k range bulbs or if you have multiple flash you can play around with the shadows or backlighting them. Or you can try with 1 light source from the top first.

Have you considered adding a Legends Class ROTF Ravage to your Soundwave/ Laserbeak? He's a bit small/ Laserbeak too big in comparison but (to me at least) they work together.

Glad they've been of some help for you dude; The initial pics released last year of him made me a little sad, especially with the legs, but after having him in-hand and after already dealing with the Deluxe I can quite easily say that Human Alliance Soundwave is my favourite figure/version of Movieverse Soundwave - He's just such a fun figure. :D

Seriously Ultra; you've got to acquire one man as he really is a fun figure to transform and whilst his proportions (& lack of paint apps :o) are a little curious, he's perfectly poseable, has such an awesome 'Gorilla-esque' silhouette and comes with a transforming Laserbeak that I'm almost certain you wont be disappointed! :D

This is actually the 2011 improved reissue version, so the franchise must still be popular enough to reissue figures. I hope it continues to stay popular because I love Code Geass!

I love it too, until Knightmare Frame collecting got a lot more expensive with scarce supplies.
