So it seems the MechTechs weapon isnt just a a toy gimmick?

The transformation of bumblebee had the HUGE gun on the roof.

Seems like it's both Stealth Force (the way guns and stuff come out everywhere in the car) and Mechtech. I believe Hasbro said that Bay saw their Stealth Force toys and wanted to use them in this movie, and then Hasbro were evidently inspired by the big cannons in the movie to make Mechtech.

I *think* its possible that Stealth Force was inspired by a cut scene from the 2007 movie where Bumblebee and Barricade fought in vehicle mode using pop-out weapons. Evidence of this scene appears to only survives in rare production photos of the weapons props mounted on Barricade, one panel in IDW's comic adaptation, and some Radio Shack radio control cars of Bumblebee and Barricade.
