Hi all,

I'm looking for a G1 Grimlock on eBay. I found one but it states that it's missing its "Clear chest panel". I have no idea what that is. Does it have a huge impact on the way Grimlock looks in his Alt mode?

Thanks in advance.

I personally think it does, but that's just my opinion. It's really a cosmetic thing and doesn't effect the actual 'performance' of the toy so to speak.

Thanx Gok, but what about his Alt mode/T-Rex mode? Is it used at all in the alt mode? Coz I won't be displaying him in Robot mode...

It shouldn't cos Grimlock's chest becomes his crotch in Dino Mode.

You can still visibly see it in dino mode, it becomes the belly. Because Grimlock is an old-school upright standing T-Rex it makes it more noticable too.

I dunno, I personally wouldn't get a Grimlock without that chest panel... but up to you dude. Here's a photo of Grimmie in Dino mode anyway:

thanks again all for the feedback...

i'm guessing the chest piece would be rather hard to come by on ebay? or anywhere else or that matter?

yes coz usually the chest piece doesnt get sold by itself. you might find a junker grimlock but then even junker Grimlock sells for quite an amount if your only after it's chest panel, better get a full complete grimlock, less hassle. the weapons you can get easy but the chest panel hmmm not so.
