black rock shooter figmas arent too bad at all. i have black rock shooter and black gold saw. both come wiith different facial expressions. BRS has the huge cannon and sword while BGS has her saw toothed sword. how much were they asking at supernova?

65-70 aint bad now that these are off production and hard to find now I believe. It all depends on how much you like figma and the look of the characters really. I suspect you might be able to talk them down to $60 if you tried. Then I would say go for it. Although Dead Master isn't quite as Nice as BRS or BGS, but still she is a pretty cool figure.

The BRS Figmas ar great, they don't suffer from Figma's design aesthetic. The only one to avoid is the first release of Black Rock Shooter herself which suffered from some body design defect. Apparently this was fixed for the second release.

$50 to $60 isn't tragic for the three core figures, currently... Problem is those damned exclusives. :mad:

Actually when I went in the store (greattoys.net) it was quite an overwhelming sight and I have no idea what to get. I actually wasnt after any figmas in the first place :p but yeah the figure was displayed separately from the rest of the "common" figmas... and the last one to boot so I thought... Might be rare or something, plus its one of those weird memes of Jap culture so grabbed and paid it. pleasant surprise too as I was given 10% discount for paying cash paid only Php 2700 for it.....instead of Php 3000 (Php46=AU$1)

Oh and Tober from the look in buttercups face you can tell whose horn is eherm :p:p

Usually yes and they should be at least 1/12 scale with other scale models ie cars and bikes.

Hmm, aside from a bit of paint on the upper arm of her Ogre Arms, mine seems ok. Te fingers look like they could be a tad fragile and the joing at her Ogre arms elbow is only a swivel joint allowing up/down movement was a touch stiff when I first tried it, but I suspect as long as you are careful, they should be fine.

When BRS figma was first out there was talk of an anime series. Apparently it was going to be released online as well in an interesting move. IIRC. Nothing eventuated from that though. I remember searching around for BRS anime and all I could find was the origianal OVA for aaaaaggggges!:D

Hopefully it means some expansion on the story as well. It really needs to make sense!:p

The plastic on the ogre arms looks a bit fragile as well. I was conerned about that are breaking. Was it the swivel joint for her ogre arm 'elbow'? I was scared of moving that for the first time.

PSP's well original ones go for quite cheap at preowned stores. then you can crack it and have some fun. PSPs are only fun when cracked

LOl, I never buy these game combos unless I am interested in the game. AS a shooter I don't think it will be too hard to understand. Perhaps the plot will be the only tricky bit for those who nihongo wakaranai.

Lets just hope it is a good game and not a cheap cashi in.

I'm glad it's the Other M version as well, i really think they nailed the design of Samus in that game.

Theres a fair few sets of hands to use as well which is cool, I tried posing her with the back pack but i really prefer her without it. The back pack kinda restricts the poses you can create which is a bit of a draw back, but the overall design of this figma is awesome. The pink on the scythe isnt as bright as the pink on her eye but i think it suits it with the lighter shade. Also, i used the packaging of this figma as a very crude light box =P

Onto the game, the back cover states its for japan only, the manual is all in japanese as well. Im currently charging my psp because i need to do an update >_> but i think the game will be completely japanese as well.

Anyway picked up these three items today from the Post Office.

Two figmas were my grails for a short time. Kyon and Itsuki Koizumi from "The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi". I didnt want to get the male figmas but I changed my mind not long ago and they were cheap from Mandrake.

Next is the GANTZ Bike which now Reika has something to ride around on.

Got my Suika as well today! Wooo, I like Suika. Some cool extras as well. I assume she has weighted chains as she is too strong, guords of booze and a drunken, dribbling face! As well as a 'chibi' version of herself, for when she gets so pissed she thinks she can fly!

Oh and puffy pants too.

All up, my assessment of the figure in the box is : GREAT!

Not cancelled, just delayed. Might be because of MJ's estate or just some problems with the mold. Seems like the same thing that happened to Rei Ayanami, that was delayed for months.
