View Full Version : RTS Rodimus Repaint?

Heya folks,

It seems at one point in the future, I'll probably end up with a spare RTS Rodimus figure. Rather than seperate him from the ongoing battle with Cyclonus, best thing I could probably do with him is give a brand new coat of paint.

Anyone have suggestions as to what Roddy should be customed into? And before you ask, don't say Shattered Glass Rodimus, Wildrider, or 'Menasor', as that wouldn't be an original concept. No, who do you think would suite his design? What character seems appropriate to wear his body? Can anyone possibly pull off that look?

Speed Breaker? oh, wait no they're doing that already...

Okay....how about paint him a nice warm yellow, add some black spots,
a nice Cheetah head detail for the bonnet/chest and make yourself a Cheetor?

How about Defcon or Devcon ? He is in a G1 episode, blue and white and red in color. Could be a car or a plane. I think he has an open top, which gave me a really good idea. If you could pop off the top, removing the windows, there should be 2 seats inside. I have nether done this so I don't know how it would turn out, but it would make it look dramatically different in alt mode anyway. Hope this helps.

Ground Hog - the car mode is a good match, but the bot mode is way off

If you swap out the Reveal the Shield sticker for a Decepticon one (or even just leave it there and say the Autobot symbol is blacked out because he's quit the Autobots), you could repaint it as Armada Wheeljack (http://www.tfu.info/2003/Decepticon/Wheeljack/wheeljack.htm).

He'd be a pretty good match for robot and vehicle mode.

I would repaint it as Lugnut or Action Master Thundercracker. :)
