New Hasbro online TFs game for 2012

A long way off, but Hasbro have officially announced (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/hasbro-news-new-transformers-online-game/21057/) an online game for Transformers for next year.
Unsure what format & theme it will follow, but being a year after the Movie, it might not be Movie Universe.

The good news is that the licensing covers Australia and New Zealand, so we should be able to access it when it goes live.

There is hardly any world building in TF Prime to sustain a MMO which is highly reliant on that.

They were better off basing it on G1 simply because it is by far the most developed universe of all the TF franchises with enough content to sustain a game of this scale.

So far we barely have any Cons, a few Autobots and a single desert locale.

Hopefully the game will be G1 and it's just Hasbro forcing it to be TF:Prime like they did with WFC.

If I recall, the writers of Prime said they were either writing Season 2 mid last year, or had finished it, so by 2012 I would imagine a fair bit of 'universe' would exist for this game to use. Probably by then we'd be into season 3 or 4, so should have the scope of Animated by the time it had ended... not a huge universe, but maybe enough to start with.

I think after 52 episodes there will be enough Universe to base a game on - Though I'm not really one for MMOs. ;)

Admittedly I did play WoW until lvl11, by which time I was thoroughly bored but you're right - I'll probably give this a go. ;):p

While I'd love to play a TF MMO, it will have to be pretty epic to complete with the likes of WoW. Even if they are not attempting to compete with the big ones out there, they will be compaired and the market is becoming saturated with niche MMOs.

If it does come out (a lot of these get cancelled) can I suggest we all choose to play on the same server at the very least? Preferably form a guild or perhaps two ('Con & 'Bot)?

I think this won't be a real mmo in wow etc sense but rather something along the runescape/toon town mmo-lite style.

The first is of the Autobot base. Set in the desert. In the side of a mountain. Like the original ark, but more concealed.

I like the Prowl concept Art, looks like they're going for a G1/Animated Hybrid and Barricade just looks all sorts of awesome! :D

The scenery art is quite stunning too, hope to see more though. :)
