DOTM Toys - buy straight away or wait?

With all the teasers everyone is being provided for DOTM toys, come 15 May 2011 (or earlier if embargo if lifted) what will you do?

From previous experience with ROTF, the first day Kmart had them, I bought Leader Prime and Megatron and other crappy re-release Voyagers.

So what will everyone else do?

It also seems the Kmart is not discounting (ie ala 20%) like they previously used to do.

I got burned with the BIS pack or $50 from Target, but luckily I found my receipt and it ended up all good in the end.

I'll buy the preview toys like i always do but then i might wait till i see the movie. I only aim to buy toys that are appear in the movie and screen accurate. I'll get the leader class toys when they're cheap.

Otherwise it's best screen accurate toy for me so best off waiting.

I'd probably buy most of the DOTM figures, except Starscream as he isn't my favourite character and all he has extra is a gun. Really want a Thundercracker though!!

From what I've seen, there's only toy, the helicopter, I'm keen to get as soon as possible. But when they are on the shelves I'm probably going to be tempted to buy before waiting for a sale (and there will be sales eventually)

I'll only be getting... (spoilers) Voyager Megatron, Shockwave, The Ark and the Human Alliance Basics. Since that's only seven toys, I'll just get them how and when they're available rather than wait for sales.

I don't normally buy Movie toys... only have a few so I probably won't pay much attention on release day. :)

I'll wait for a sale, particularly the early waves as stores usually get a lot of them, and movie toys tends to go on sale quite often

I dont own too many Takara versions, but the Animated Rodimus looked fanstastic with the detail and I own the Megatron 370Z and Optimus GTR and they were great too.

Given the friendly exchange rates, I guess I will get some from RK then!

The only figures who are must haves for me so far are Shockwave and Sentinel Prime I would probably buy them on sight, The rest however? Well there's a couple others I kinda like (Megatron, Crankcase, Ratchet and Sideswipe) but would only be tempted to get them if they were on sale.

I'm with Fonecrusher, in that Voyager Shockwave and Leader Class Sentinel Prime I'll probably buy early on (Hopefully a sale :o) as they're the only 2 I really want until I see the Ultimate Prime in-person. :)
But as Verno said, waiting for the Takara releases may indeed pay off. ;)

I'n pretty much in the same boat as most of the other people here...

Sentinel Prime and Shockwave are must haves early on and then perhaps Skyhammer once he's on sale - the other DOTM range is completely 'meh' IMO

I wanna get at least 1 version of each new screen character... non-screen characters are lower priority, and I'll get those according what I think of them (and how much money I have after getting the screen chars.)

There's no option for this so I've not voted. I'l buy the Legends as soon as I see them, but likely pass/wait for discount on the majority of larger toys. So yeah, buy some cheap stuff on sight.

Well so far the only DOTM figure I want is the voyager helicopter guy. I'd like to wait for discounts but I know I'll see it before then and probably cave. Then again I'll probably cave on a lot of the other figures when I see them in front of me, hanging on the shelves all new and tempting.
