Remember the rumor? Few weeks back, TFW2005 member Red Leader tipped us off that Takara is planning to release something called “UA-01 Jetwing Optimus Prime". Everybody was excited. Main question was… “Can it top the upcoming Ultimate Optimus Prime?”

It not being in normal colours actually works out better for me. I have a Leader ROTF Prime and that's all I need, but if this one looks different enough to call it someone else, it works for me.

The text on the top says "Black version" -- I'm guessing this means this is a variant and there's a normal version???

This is just a lucky draw raffle version. The box there is obviously for the standard retail version.

I don't see what the big fuss is or why you'd want to buy ROTF Prime again just for a couple of big guns..?

YES! that's why I bought Buster Optimus Prime. Well, that and the awesome paintjob and chrome turned a great toy into an AMAZING one. So hopefully this guy gets the sweet movie accurate deco and chrome too.

The prototype photos use the 2009 Optimus, but a mostly-reliable source claimed that it will be a new Optimus toy. These promo pics however suggest that it is indeed just the same 2009 toy with a new accessory.
People went nuts for Buster Optimus who just had a new gun... so a much bigger accessory could still interest people, especially if it isn't being released in AMERICA.
