When I brought Megs inside the house this arvo, My Sister's friend was like "Ooh, A Transformer!" & I'm like "Yeah...". She enquires about my G1's, BW's (she luved my Cheetor - her favourite character from the show), She luved my movie BB (favourite movie character by far) & she was like "Aw, how cute" over my WST Prime & Megs.

Just briefly for you STL :)
It's actually quite strange.. like an optical illusion!
Looking at it front on with the legs straight, the knees don't seem out of place. But, you notice the legs are at their thinnest, right at the knees. They're really wide at the base near his feet which exaggerates the effect (and i think his wide shoulders too).

I don't think you should be concerned... in my short time with it, the only things i can think of that would turn someone off are:
- Smaller than movie leader figs
- Simpler transformation than movie figs
- Just don't like animated style

That's the thing with those battle-damaged figures, they aren't just recoloured moulds (as I had assumed right up until getting the first wave myself), the 2-pack is the only way of getting those two moulds that we so far know about. Even though they recolour everything eventually, these have not been mentioned anywhere yet of having an alternative or non-damaged release.
Speaking of 'damaged' - do you have any problems with the knees of your 2-pack Megatron? One of lower legs of mine just doesn't stay on at all. It is so loose, it comes off just holding the toy, not to mention everytime I try to transform it. A flaw perhaps with the design of their 'parts will pop off with extreme force to prevent breaking the toy'?

Yep, I transformed Megatron into his alt mode (whatever it is) okay, but transforming back to robot mode the lower leg slid right off. It's a different sort of joint in there that slides out a bit too easily.

I did cut the bombs type missles in mine Rampage - for both cracker and warp. It wasn't easy, for some reason the plastic seemed hard to cut. also had to make sure its really straight otherwise when you stick it back on it might be crooked. Good thing Encore is releasing these two in the original launchers, Ill be getting some just because of those among a few list of little faults I find on these Hasbro reissue ones

Bought the limited edition Deep Space Starscream from the Toy's R Us sale over the weekend. Wanted to get the movie ultras as well since $39.99 each was a reasonable price, but still broke, so didn't in the end.

New job's going on pretty well, just that the Govt depts (I'm now working for the CFA) are so strict that its no more MSN or going to external websites during office hours. Please keep me updated about the new Encores that come out people, esp. via sms. Ta..

My least liked animated figure so far. The yellow is a cheap looking custard colour, except for the roof/back sides, which are painted a nicer colour. The difference is pretty noticeable but depends on lighting conditions. That said, the car mode is pretty cool and the boosters look nice. The robot mode though, seems out of proportion .. not just with himself (huge feet!) but with other figures (i'm not usually one to complain about this kind of thing, but his head is like 3 times bigger than Cybertron OP!).

Gotta say I quite like them. Jazz's head looks a bit large compared to the rest of his body.

My Starscream's paint apps are nice and crisp with no excess spots, but one of Goldbugs Lights isn't in properly so it sticks out a bit. Prime's paint work is quite spectacular!

Not really an aquisiton as such, but since I have paid for it, I am gonna list it.
Ordered a Guardina Robot from e-hobby and the Kissplay cassettes (coz they're cheap-ish and I want the autobot robot mould). Now It will just sit in Japan until I can get there. Hmmm, another reason for me to hurry up!

After all the problems with the board since the beginning of June, I was only wanting to post this (and a number of other projects) after I had fixed up the board. It gave added incentive to me, and hopefully reassured people that I was putting the board first.

My acquisitions during May was pretty light anyway, with nothing too fancy to really get excited over.

I got:
- US Costco exclusive coloured Armada Prime and Overload (with Rollout and Sparkplug). Was sent by surface from Canada, because Canada post charge a fortune for airmail (like $300 for this set), based on volume rather than weight. This was a very low priority item for me, being a recolour, but means that from Armada, I am only now missing the gold Optimus that was a US Kmart exclusive (which came with Jetfire and 6 Minicons - none of which were recoloured).
- 'Movie' Wingblade and Jetstorm.
- JP Ratchet (green Gen1)
- SWTFs Clone Transport recolour, Obi Wan/Ep2 Jedi Starfighter.
- Movie Turnarounds (Ratchet/Jazz and Blackout/Barricade)
- Movie Deep Space Starscream.
