Just watched it and it looks good. Not great, just good IMO. Looks like there's gonna be a lot of generic robots (similar to the ROFT desert scene) and i'm not buying the big ships scene over the city. It reminds me of the Battle Los Angeles/Skyline movies. Will definately see at the movies, but not one to rush to midnight premiere.

Personally I don't see any problem with generic robots. They're no different to generic humans in every other movie or tv show.

I feel like I am going to implode from excitement!!!!!! I honestly could not be any more excited! This movie has a plot. The action looks amazing! That tentacle bot thing has what looks like more than just one scene. The acting appears good, Simons looks like a serious character. I could go on and inn about what is great about this is but I won't, because I want to get back to watching the trailer :P

I was talking about when they were in vehicle mode driving into the the hangar the last car in the line it looks like mudflap. There isn't a screen cap posted anywhere that I've seen you have to pause the trailer at the right time.

I find it quite refreshing that so far on here there have been no "this is going to be the worst movie ever!!! Michael Bay ruined my childhood!!! How dare he make an entertaining movie franchise that doesnt conform to my personal opinions about transformers!?!?!? Why can't they look like G1 " comments. But then again. The trailer did only come out today :P

Michael Bay ruined my chi... Nah just kidding Transformers were already pretty silly (just look at the toon) can't blame it all on the Bay.

Nice trailer, exciting too, even if it is the old alien Invasion plot. Now of course people will say ROTF had a good trailer too and then you know... However this trailer is already one better than ROTF as it has established there is some sort of plot (simple maybe yes), as opposed to none at all.

So yeah now the movie feels real, looking forward to it plenty skeptical, but I find it more enjoyable to give it the benefit of the doubt than lament over Bay's inadequacies. So will watch it even if it is jut a one watch action flick.

Oh yeah forgot, I really like the scene where the army comes out of the ground on the moon, the two genericons we see in one shot both have sufficiently different faces to look unique, and their glowing red eyes makes them spooky like bad guys oughta be, the only thing spookier are what her faces lips.

Hmmm, I wonder if the generic decepticons will do anything cool like transforming ? or combining or triple-changing. How about all those big ships entering the city could they possibly transform into really big robots? The tentacle thing ripping a building in half, that looks promising. A whole lot of non transforming drones I would be ok with to bulk up the ranks of the invasion.
They could do some really mind blowing stuff, but I mean more than just big spaceships and robotic giant aliens. Honestly I like the trailer, I like alien invasions, but I don't like wasted opportunities, or lack of imagination.

Ah well, it's a good trailer. Trailers generally should be good to entice one to watch.... but Ive been dissappointed before so Im not too fussed or excited enough. I'll watch the movie when I feel like it, otherwise might wait for the last days like what I did in ROTF ( which I fell asleep to almost a quarter of the movie so I had to buy the DVD cheap to review).

I'll admit, that was a pretty hot trailer. It hits the right notes and mostly focuses on Transformers. If this was 2007 or even 2009 - I would be very excited.

BUT the Shia and the Carly girl scenes seem almost copy&paste from Shia/Megan scenes in ROTF. Another concern is that the trailer for ROTF was also pretty damn good but the movie was most certainly not.

It is very possible that the trailer has just shown us most of the best bits of the movie (similar to the ROTF trailer) and that the rest of it will just be mindless Bay fluff like military propaganda, crappy humor, softporn scenes, etc. Also remember that the invasion scene which also looked really awesome in the ROTF trailer only lasted like 3.5 seconds in that movie despite a big emphasis on invasion factor. This makes me thing that I shouldn't count for sure on anything you have seen in this trailer as actually being a major part of the new movie.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice.. I will not be getting my hopes up only to have them Bayslapped so I will not get hyped on it. If the movie turns out to be good then we all win but if it doesn't at least I will not be disappointed.

This is my opinion, if you don't like it then feel free to crucify me for expressing myself.

As many have said, the trailer for ROTF looked good, but then the movie was released...

This one seems to have more of a "plot", but will it have a decently written story, or dialogue?

Music is a little cheesy and generic, but I guess with all the actiony movies coming out, the music will all start to sound the same.

I'll see it on the premise that it cannot be worse than ROTF! :p

I think we need to let go of all this negativity from the admittedly poor RotF and start thinking about this movie as a separate entity, otherwise of course we're gonna pull the trailer to pieces and be in the wrong frame of mind when going in to see the movie.

I think its a highly promising trailer showcasing some epic adrenaline & emotion fueled action scenes to the glorious (yes GLORIOUS) beat of cheesy action music. And come on, Shockwave and the Dreadbots (at 0:58) look soooo cool!
