Holy holy nerdgasm! :eek::eek::eek:

Check out this vid here... (http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=241&itemid=17183)

Highlights... um, just about everything! But here goes...

Swamp Thing looks amazing - esp with the internal articulation. It's all hidden inside - awesome! I like the biodegradable mask too.

GL's Kilowog looks super cool!

Giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man :eek: with diorama - me can't wait!

Small articulated Voltron (from 80s cartoon) with voice chip is crazy cool! Go Peter Cullen :p

And if you pause the vid at .37 you can see Queen Marlena and Cringer from MOTUC.

The Marlena Glenn to Queen Marlena transformation is clever. I also love the Polly Pocket Frosta, Catra and She-Ra: http://www.he-man.org/assets/images/home_news/2011-04-28173141_full.jpg

Watching the video, it stated that the SDCC price for Stay Puft would be $70USD - As a complete noob :p, does anyone have a reasonable estimate as to what he'll cost at Mattycollector + Postage? :o

It's a shame Loopy's not going to SDCC instead of BotCon! :D

I wish that I could say that I like Queen Marlena..

I really like how they have included the space suit and the Royal dress (although it kind of makes her look fat) but one of my pet peeves from the Filmation cartoon was that Adam's mom was a lost astranaut from Earth - I really hated that and still do, so this toy doesn't do much for me :(

An awesome toy but only for fans of that Filmation concept. :o

Gringer is cool in a goofy way but not worth getting unless he were stand alone.

I hope that a 200X variation is released at some point.

It was just really cheesy even by 80s standards. I also saw that episode after I saw the movie which only added to my already present annoyance about mixing up the MOTU universe with Earth.

I can completely relate to this, as I only found this out by reading this thread and am saddened to hear that even the cartoon was tainted. :(

You really must watch the He-man and She-Ra Christmas Special, then Hursticon. :D

(Although personally I've always thought it was awesome that He-Man's mother was from Earth.)

Luckily I never saw that as a kid.

I guess you got annoyed with the double team up (He-man and She-ra) Christmas Special then with Skeletor becoming a "good guy" :p

One of the greatest Skeletor scenes ever, from the Christmas Special:

I think I prefer the toons version, the comics version looks like a DC superhero reject... if they ever made a SDF type Heman toys I think it would be awesome and might look something like these.... bought on sight for me :D:D

She's bought on sight. I love Queen Marlena's earth origin. So much so I even love the often never used concept of Evil-Lyn being her jealous co-pilot.

Except for some strange reason her MOTUC Real name IS "Evelyn Morgan Powers" rather than something like "Lyn of Zalesia".

It's called mediocre writing - Toyguru style.

What kind of stupid name is that for a fantasy character? It's like count Rekkkula and other silly new names that they are coming up for the newer figures.

That was awesome! It even had a typical 80s cartoon ending in which somebody says a lame joke and everyone laughs! :D

Actually, in ToyGuru's defense (something I never usually come to!!), the name Evelyn Powers was actually Evil-Lyn's "real name" from the 80s cartoon. It's not a new name at all, but it was never known because it was only ever used in the Series Bible. It was never used on the show, but it was there all along.

That's yet another reason why I really don't like the original cartoon and its rather lame "additions" to MOTU lore. I tend to ignore most things from Filmation's show.
