Anyone got any insight if we're to see this at retail? I'm sort of expecting Kmart to have it for the July sales. Any other theories?

I don't know about this one anymore.
Lego S@H (http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=10212)has it priced at about $450.
I would take a bit off that price if it turns up at Kmart. Probably $350-400.
It is a big set.

There are also some others they might have instead.
The Harry Potter set Diagon Alley (http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=10217) is cheaper and looks like it has about the same amount of features as the Imperial Shuttle (it doesn't but from to the average parent, the shuttle would look just big, where as the Harry Potter one has 3 shops and more minifigures)

There is also the Jedi Starfighter (http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=10215). I think this is a long shot, it is more wishfull thinking. My favorite ship. It is cheaper and just as detailed.
But like I said, it is more of a longshot.

S@#$. Deleted wrong post…. thought it might have not been exclusive, but just noticed tag.

However, this blows as that's only $1 less than the Lego Shop. WTF?!

At least you won't be paying the $45 for shipping

Still pretty weak when compared to some of the awesome offers Kmart has had in recent years. Maybe not the Blockade Runner so much, but that certainly went down in price on clearance!!!

Me and Krayt did some comparisons:

2010 - Death Star
$599 - Kmart
$699 - Lego.com

2008 - Millenium Falcon
$778 - Kmart
$999 - Lego.com (unsure about this one)

Those are the only two I bought and had records for.

I was hoping for around $400 for the shuttle and $100-120 for the starfighter. Way cheaper to get via Bricklink.

Shipping is expensive but with the current exchange rate, it still works out about $100 cheaper then Big W and Shop@Home.

Hey guys, is this thread in reference to this (http://www.geekologie.com/2011/06/longest-production-lego-set-to-date-dart.php)? - I don't know Lego at all but this is just insane!:D

No, that won't be released until September. My money says that's next year's toy sale's Lego headliner.

We're taking about this: http://shop.lego.com/product/Default.aspx?p=10212&LangId=2057

Cheers for the clarification dude, but man that is pretty damn impressive too!
I'm going to leave this section now before I start considering collecting Star Wars Lego... :p
