10th May 2011, 02:14 PM
For all the non-Movie toys for 2011 - go to this checklist (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=10314).

This checklist aims to cover all the Hasbro Movie toys, plus some of the TakaraTomy Movie toys if anything unique is released there. The current release status for Australia will be noted as often as possible.

Items will be added to the checklist when officially revealed by Hasbro, or official pics of the toys, or even in-package images verify its existence.

Release dates are when items are expected to be widely available in America, and should only be used as a guide for Australia. All future dates and details can change at any time.
US prices are before tax - AU prices are full retail

Key:
HERE = Found at a major chain in Australia.
OUT = Released globally, but not yet found here (if to be released here at all).
NOT HERE = Released in other countries, but not expected here.

Leaders Wave 2 was mentioned here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=238785&postcount=1725).

I was sure I saw Voyager Shockwave mentioned somewhere when I was doing up the list, but musta been mistaken. It has now been sighted here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=239241&postcount=1692) since your post... so now I don't have to edit the checklist.
(considering I did up the entire checklist from member sightings and reference websites, without seeing a single toy instores myself, there are bound to be some errors)

I've posted up scans here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=10974). I can't tell what Laserbeak is transforming into... it looks like it could be another beast form.
I sorted the item codes for the Deluxe class, which is how I sorted them into Waves 3 & 4, but it isn't guaranteed... as the Nitro Bumblebee is numbered as if it should have been released in wave 2, but could have been pushed back to prevent a mass of Bumblebee toys on the shelves at one time. Then again, a third Bumblebee toy is in wave 4, so every wave except wave 2 has a Bumblebee toy in Deluxe sizing.

Pics of Mudflap that are on the Hasbro TFs site (the images I've already included in the listing) is completely different to the ones I have.

I'll look into the Stealth Force Starscream and update the list... I'm just not putting too much effort into the Speed Stars section before BotCon (and very few here care or collect Speed Stars anyway).

It depends on how it is packaged, or how obvious the Target logo is in the packaging. This is why it has been suggested that the Deluxe Leadfoot is bound to be a store exclusive, because the Target Logo would be facing up through the bubble, which would be more obvious than a HA packaging (which has the vehicle side on when displayed.

Chances are that that HA Leadfoot could end up as a store exclusive too, but if Hasbro packages it cleverly, they could get away with it as a general release figure.

(of all the Nascars to choose from, Hasbro should have known that having one with a major retailer's logo taking up a large portion of the toy, would limit their options selling their product to all stores... even if Bay or someone important was a fan of those three Nascars)

I suspect it was possibly a case of lets-see-if-we-can-get-money-from-Target-for-product-placement.

(Am I misremembering, or did I once buy a Transformer from Australian Toys 'R' Us that ironically had a [US] 'Only at Target' sticker on it?)

griffin
19th May 2011, 01:01 PM
Yeah, if it was stuck on at the factory and gets sent to a non-US country and to different store chain, the local branch of Hasbro should correct that if they are aware of it (like they did with the Fox Kids logo on Beast Machines toys - the local branch stuck green stickers over it).
Fortunately for TRU, the 'only at Target(logo)' was insignificant enough for them to even notice, otherwise they would have pulled off the stickers when shelving them.

Mr Ed
19th May 2011, 05:30 PM
For you guys who dont have a good knowledge of NASCAR, the three wreckers are Chevrolet Impalas.

The #88 Dale Earnhardt Jnr AMP (Roadbuster) and #48 Jimmie Johnson Lowes (Top Spin) are from powerhouse team Hendrick Motorsport.

Jimmie Johnson is 5 time reigning champion (5 in a row)

The #42 Juan Pablo Montoya Target (Leadfoot) is run by Earnhardt Ganassi.

Hendrick Motorsport field 2 other cars in the NASCAR field:

The #24 Jeff Gordon Dupont car and #5 Mark Martin Kelloggs car.

It is definitely product placement that these wreckers were chosen

Firstly GM as other cars race in NASCAR - Ford Fusion, Dodge Charger and Toyota Camry.

AMP is owned by Pepsi Co in USA and Lowes is a massive hardware chain.

I assume Target would have pushed heavily and paid $$ to have this car in the movie.

Everything would have been done to cash in on the Movie.

As for Hasbro, as I understand from what Goldner has said, Hasbro doesn't have the power of veto with these movies. Bay and co decide, Hasbro can try to adjust things, but ultimately, they do not have any form of final say, which explains things happening in the movies that go against Hasbro's family-friendly image.

Regarding HA Leadfoot, there appears to have been a compromise: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/412162-hand-pic-ha-leadfoot.html

Hasbro simply evidently removed his hood Target logo, though they've left the logo on the driver's uniform.

If a Leadfoot does get released in normal Deluxe but without the Target logo, I can ask the gentleman who makes heaps of custom Diecast models for me to make and produce a set of pre-cut TARGET vinyl decals to allow for transformation.

Haven't heard anything about them. Target here have already taken on some of the US Target exclusives, so may not want those four deluxes as well. And BigW have the first wave of Deluxe Human Alliance as an exclusive, which could mean that they get later waves... but... Kmart didn't get their second wave as Hasbro had wanted, so it may not be guaranteed this time either.
It'd be a shame though if BigW cut off the line after just having the redeco wave, as Roadbuster (wave 2) is really nicely detailed, and Soundwave is said to be wave 3...

19th July 2011, 10:38 AM
Our shipments would be less frequent from Asia because we sell less stock in this country - which can sometimes mean missing whole waves between shipments, or having a wave come here later (and sometimes earlier) than other countries.

They send stuff by shipping containers, and would only send a shipment when Hasbro Australia needs the minimum quantity it takes to send a container. If we have slow sales here, the shipments will be less frequent.

I guess we won't see it for another few months. Tired of seeing the excessive starscream and bumblebee playsets at every store. Added image links to just about everything now, using official Hasbro pics where ever possible (so I don't have to credit sources or chase up permission).

These are all on my server, so if you need to refer to a toy in a review, discussion topic or sighting, just copy the link and insert the link or actual picture into your posting.
(and let me know if any aren't working, as I need to update some that are incomplete, or have my photos until official ones are found)

I've also updated the AUS exclusives listing to include recent new sightings, as well as noting which US exclusives are still unaccounted for here.

Yes, many hours over several weeks, researching the various toys not already on the listing, finding all those pics from various sources, editting/combining images into single pics, and creating a listing so each toy is specifically numbered to keep it neat.
It will make for a good archive, and as long as I and others get to use them, it wont be wasted.

Voyagers - As noted at the top of the checklist, it only covers sightings by the major chains. Hobbyco is known to import toys, so it can be misleading for the checklist to say something is released in this country if it has only been found in a store that imported them.

Leaders - as Paulbot said, those haven't been officially revealed or even sighted in some sort of toy form yet (It is also noted at the top of the checklist that it will only cover verified items, to avoid any confusion by people expecting something that ended up being a false rumour)

Human Alliance - I have started compiling a list of the items mentioned at SDCC, which includes that one. The checklist will be updated as soon as I can.

Hi griffin, where did you see cyberverse hatchet and battle steel optimus prime? Are they generally out in retail stores? Thanks

Keep an eye on the first sightings topic (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=3191) for new items - those were found by someone in Brisbane at a "Coles" (Pick'n'Pay).
That should mean that Hasbro AUS has them in the country, and they should appear in other stores, but only if they restock any time soon.

Please let one of the 'items' be DOTM Commander Shockwave

Shockwave (http://www.toycollectors.com.au/tftoys/cv30.jpg) (new Cmdr) w/ Fusion Tank (Decep)

I've read that this is coming out here in Sep with some 'sites' taking pre-orders. Since we only have a week left in Aug, it's looking likely *fingers crossed*

Anyone know if Human Alliance Roadbuster and Leadfoot being released in OZ?

Some person on EBAY is selling both of them shipped to OZ for $120.

I dont want to be put in the same situation again where I missed the boat on HA Barricade and shelled out $100!

I think with BigW clearing out the first wave (Bbee & Skids), they probably aren't getting in wave 2 or 3 (Roadbuster & Soundwave). Leadfoot is likely to be a store exclusive (with or without the Target logo), and there hasn't been any sign of it here yet.
Email Hasbro Australia to see if they are coming here. I emailed them about upcoming figures about 4 weeks ago, and still haven't got a reply... not even an email to say stop calling. :p

Thanks Griffin

I ended up biting the bullet and buying this in USA.

I bought

Roadbuster
Roadbuster variant
Leadfoot (Target exclusive)

for $178.13 USD

Then when the purchase came through on Paypal - I paid $187.40 due to the exchange rates.
