Hey folks,

Just a heads up for all my fellow OTCA members. Though you may have some sort of security program on your computer, it does not guarentee you will be 100% protected from viruses. (REPORT SEEN HERE (http://blog.secfence.com/2011/05/hackers-actively-exploiting-java-exploits/)) There has been a report out regarding the methods in which hackers have been attacking computers - they used to use other methods that I have forgotten at the moment but have now moved onto Java scripting in most recent times. Though I'm no computer expert, I believe Java scripting exists in certain browser-based game formats like Minecraft, Runescape, Yahoo games AND it exists in many advertisements on websites. Java scripting isn't for some reason beyond my understanding protected as well as other types of programming and thus trojans have been able to sneak past my security programs, only to be detected by proper scanners like ESET Online Scanner.

My laptop has gone through about a dozen virus attacks before and most times these attacks were identified by my antivirus programs, however there were moments that the attacks weren't identified and I have had to use ESET or even Combofix (DO NOT USE COMBOFIX UNLESS ADVISED TO DO SO).

So what is the purpose of this thread you ask? UPDATE YOUR JAVA as regularly as possible people. Even if you have the latest antivirus software, your Java needs to be updated too.

And this is not a spam posting guys, just a warning because I've found another Java-based trojan that wasn't identified with my normal antivirus program.
