Hey guys, another teaser image has arrived on iGear's facebook.
This time we possible have Ironhide, sporting a similar headsculpt to the Impactor (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=10967) head which appeared about a week ago.
http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/3415/22948020314458972753410.jpg

Is this iGear actually creating something completely new and not blatantly ripping some off? We'll have to wait an see :D
Speculated away!

HeadiGear? iGearHead?

Since they like making heads so much, shouldn't they make some junkion heads?

I noticed that also, then again though. What else can they do?

Tallestblue

It does look like Universe Inferno, but on closer inspection there are a few differences, wether or not they're using the Inferno mold as a base and made radical changes or a slight coincedence ony time will tell.

hopefully it's not too large... cause Ironhide isn't supposed to be too tall...

Very curious. If its inferno mould the size will probably render it useful for MPs. However, don't forget that this is igear- not beyond them to scale it down to the right size.

almost looks like a cross between universe inferno and classics optimus

WOW! and the red crosses are back on ratchet *whistles*

I have to agree they look really good for something from igear!

My only complaint would be ironhide's face - it looks like someone beat him with an ugly stick...

I had the same reservation, however, that is one of the multiple head/faces to be provided so it is not too big of a worry- i.e. look at the previous pics the face sculpt was more g1 stoic face.

Having said that, these have just popped out at me to look out for... I might consider getting them if the price, and other scaling factors work out. They are quite delicious- IMO probably the best renditions of G1 ironhide/ratchet in transformable- toy form to date. Definitely more excited about the other moulds i.e. impactor!!!! :D

Looks deluxe scale to me and that is definitely what I prefer. I'm now more excited about these two over the dotm toy line.

Sweet, i'd hit these, so long as they are deluxe scaled.

Well spotted dude, as I was thinking along similar lines that it looks like a mated 'internal' structure/skeleton with a new shell - I can see why people would want these though. :)

Has anyone actually confirmed these are Classics or are they Masterpiece size?

Lots of speculation, but all I can see is pictures with no comparison. Based on their other stuff it would be 90% certain its a masterpiece.

Either way, I will buy these, they look fantastic!

From Original Poster:
"The height will be approximately 7.5 inches. If you're wondering if that's in scale with MP, PP or Classics then just take one of those figures and hold a ruler against it.

- The price should be somewhere around the same as FP's Warbot Defender, if not slightly less (around $70-80)"

I think Classics Prime is under 7 inches... so these will not be in scale with the classics - unless you make Faith Leader the prime. I will probably pass on these for this reason.

Looks nice, but I am already happy with the classics figures that I have. Accessories do look nice, but at the price he will surely be, not worth it IMO.

Is it just me, or does he look like he is going to be bigger than Classics Prime?

Agreed.

These figs are 7.5 inches tall, whereas classics prime is under or about 7 inches.

Just looking how the hand holds it, looks massive. When you hold Prime by the legs like that, I'm sure he doesn't have as big a chest as Ironhide does. I want comparison pictures dammit :p

+2. The Universe Ironhide/Ratchet mould may not be as cartoon accurate as these but I love them all the same. Still has the most fun transformation out of all the Classics for me too!

If only iGear put this amount of effort into their Sharkticon release...I'd buy a billion of them (possibly a trillion)

Now how do we go about buying these figures when they come out? At their official site? Or at another TF seller site?

igear do sell their stuff direct but you can also get them from RK and such but a little bit more expensive.

yes, yes, whatever happened to those Sharkticons anyways??? still in limbo? My Quints still lack followers.:( hmm Saw this on the other thread. ok now I know it is a NOT ironhide supposedly... but darn too big and Igear price, meh ... pass. Excellent design though, at least no permanent head bowing fault unlike the original.

I completely agree. I like where hasbro is going with their classics line. Their toy designs contain sufficient homage to G1 nostalgia whilst tweaking it to have modern features.

They really should have followed through on the sharkticon release rather than trying to re-invent the wheel. That said, i don't mind if they delay their production because if Hasbro/Takara releases their version I'd get it for sure.

I'm hoping Hasbro keeps up with what the fans want (we'll have the third parties to keep them on their toes).

To me this seems like an addition to Igears usually knocked off mini MP line rather than a direct substitute for the Classics Universe Ironhide. As such I think it's pretty impressive, but we'll see what the colours and quality are like. I was majorly impressed by the Igear Kup with Cygar head sculpt and this guy looks as if the same sculptor has done the head (at least) so colour me interested.
