After slowly decreasing the amount of toys I had on display in the house so that the areas we had could be shared by everyone. The long term plan was to rearrange the rooms so I could have my very own collection room, a place I could escape to (her words, not mine)
Today the overhaul started. Furniture got moved out and toys got moved in.
Here's what the room looked like when the toys and first shelves got moved in

Now some preliminary shots. I started with Generation 1 and 2 and Beast Wars. Then used the second shelf to display my Classicsverse.
This will change once I start to get proper shelving in but had to do something with them.

The last lot of photos for tonight are my Classicverse collection.

Great news and awesome shots dude, it's an awesome feeling when you're able to properly display things huh? :)
It's amazing how much room the Classicsverse figures take up eh?, I'm glad the Beast Wars figures have plenty of room to breathe though as they look really good, as do the G1 figures which there are a couple I'm quite envious of. :D
I can't wait to see what the room will look like when finished, as there is clearly quite a few figures and boxes to go.:cool:

There's heaps still to do but I need the shelving first. Thought it was time my G1 and BW came out on display, they were packed away for too long.
Classicsverse is still doing my head in, Decepticons are vastly out numbered. No matter how I arrange them they end up looking cramped.

I'm very glad to hear this, I felt really happy when I was able to bring the Dinobots and Lightspeed out of storage so that they could be displayed so I know the feeling. :D

F 'n' A man!
If they decide to continue the Classicsverse, they had better do at least 1 to 2 waves completely comprised of Decepticons, because there are just way too many Autbots! :p

Was just going through my Classicverse photos with my missy when she said to me 'There wasn't a 1998 movie, was there?'
So I've labelled the movie homage photo wrong. It should be 1986.
Funny how she saw it and I missed it.

+1 We need more Decepticons, lots more. And not just the repaints of obscure characters. There's plenty for them to choose from

Nice!! Reminds me of when I transferred my collection room to the much smaller room of the house... Tfs all on the floor.. lego stuff being packed away... a lot of work hehehe

Nice collection mate :)

I like the amalgamation of figures from different series into a Classicsverse collection, just the way I would do it (if I had space to display mine).

I wasn't going to do this, especially with the ROTF line but in the end I couldn't help myself. To me Classics, universe 2.0, Generations, RtS etc are all part of the same line under different banners.

I plan to move all my toys in their, the stuff I haven't been able to display.

After a full day in the new room all the toys are now unpacked. Theres just no room to move in there now.
I'll throw up pics tomorrow that I took over the course of today. One thing that has become apparent is how seriously I need proper, uniform shelves and just how many.
The fun part was after they were all unpacked going through 2 garbage bags of bubble wrap to double check nothing had become caught in there and I inadvertantly threw it otut

Damn!

That is quite a sizeable collection you've amassed there dude - great pics too! :D
You've got quite an impressive Unicron Trilogy collection there man, I myself am not that big of a fan of that era but I am a fan of specific individuals from that era and I've got to say that Energon Unicron, the more I see it, is making me think more and more about acquiring my own Black-Metal Unicron! :D

You are definitely in need of some shelving, I agree, but at least they're all able to breathe some fresh air. ;)

I wanted Energon Unicron before Armada Unicron and thats what I got. Only need a couple to complete my collection.

My first attempt at setting up my movie toys. Tried to set them up by movie appearance eg 2007, RotF but ran out of space.

LordCyrusOmega
24th May 2011, 12:35 PM
So it was back to the drawing board and decided the best thing was to combine them all into Autobots, Decepticons, Movieverse and Legend/legion.
Theres never enough space

Your collection is awesome! Makes me so jealous. It's very impressive indeed. I'd love to get some g1's to display but I just really don't know who I should get and there's so many KO's of g1 stuff out there. How many MP's do you have and what ones?

I buy my G1 stuff off people on this board so I don't have any worries about KO's anymore.
I'll throw up some pics of my MPs tonight. I have all 3 seekers, Grimlock, Ultra Magnus, Optimus Prime and Megatron (safely locked away of course)
If you look here: http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=10670&page=2 YOu can see the earlier shots of them.

Thats a hard one, it changes week to week for me. MP Megatron is pure gold in my eyes. And there is always a sense of danger when I transform him: Will this be the time I break him?
Also the Animated Seekers as it's the line that I have the most seekers in and they look really good all next to each other.
But really anything that has an interesting gimmick. Safeguard was my Fav for a while as until I got him I hadn't seen a bot combine like that

Just a couple more and I have them all, barring JP releases and exclusives.

Walked in there today, had one look around and walked out again. Really need them shelves.

After avoiding the room for weeks as never know where to start finally my aquisitions started to take over the house and more importantly the bedroom.
So spent a bit of time in there arranging things. Need more shelves, which means I have to stop buying toys as my choice each week is: more toys or shelves and I always choose toys.
Anyway here are some quick shots I took today. Nothing special, just an update

Looking good man, I had that same issue of putting off buying shelves but seriously man just get them - It such a good feeling to have it out of the way and done so then you don't have to worry. ;):)

Last Monday I finally gave in and brought some steel shelves from Bunnings ($20 each) 5 in total. After spending a significant amount of time putting them together I moved them into the room. Sadly, putting the toys on the shelves took far less time then putting them together.
And I have to say it looks far better in there now then before. Soo much room.
Photos to follow over the next couple of days

Pics are coming. Got the poos in their after posting that and rearranged it. still in the process. What went from an orderly process of putting shelves in room and putting toys on shelves became a pile of toys and a struggle to move shelves. 550 toys piled on the floor takes up a lot of room. Couldn't move. Should have taken a picture, that would have been worth seeing.

With all the space they deserve. Except Transmutate who's right leg snapped off. Now I have to find a way to fix him

I might actually have to consider getting yet another set of shelves too because my BW figures are bursting at the seams at the moment. :o
Transmutate's Leg broke off? - Oh man that sucks immense balls dude!:(

Blame Hasbro.

I swear the original design of Transmutate had the right leg and waist as seperate pieces, but because they then limited the 10th Ann line to 6 figures, they had to join them into one.

LordCyrusOmega
7th August 2011, 08:12 PM
That's the one that broke off too. I pulled it off ages ago. He got progressively worse at standing until he wouldn't stand at all. Then I saw him lying on the shelf missing a leg. Think Rampage had something to do with it.

Verno

I'd be looking more closely at Primal and Megs, they wanted nothing to do with her. Rampage thought she was fantastic. Unless he's keeping it as a memento :p

Who knows, he is one twisted mofo. Could be TM Optimus, they share a shelf
