so there are four versions of this little one? the preview optimus, this one, the one with the trailer, and the one with the swords?

are there any differences between the actual optimii, other than the accessories? i don't know which version to get :(

Same fig, different accessories. I'd hold out for the trailer set, only an extra $8 on top of the commander rrp. If you buy from Big W/K-mart.

Every picture I see is a different configuration of the wings in alt mode.

So the figure in the play set is the same?

Yep, the same one. The playset version is G1 coloured, with a lighter blue, almost pastel purple and no flame deco.

As for the different configurations, I like the compact mode pictured above than the "mistransformed one on the back of package.

Whoa... so that Prime w/ the trailer is the Cyberverse Playset one?

Gok: Yes. Same mold as the Commander. Just different deco.

Autocon: Yes. I hate the clip as well as it means there is no swivel, its just stuck in that form. The wheels are awful as well. Will do a review sometime soon.

A great little figure that goes well with the Ark playset, the Jet/Backpack is a little annoying to secure though but you get what you pay for. :)

I voted 'only if' you can't find the Action Set (with trailer) or prefer to have the flame deco (which the action set doesn't have).
It's not a very good depiction of Movie Optimus, with a big blocky chest and deformed legs. I think the Legend size versions from the first and second movies looked better.
Transformation is decent. Not sure why the guns couldn't look like his movie guns. The backpack is for those who can't afford the big Jetpack Optimus Version, but doesn't do much on this one.
