Getting Toysrus exclusives

I live about 600km from the closest Toysrus so I normally miss out on exclusives like the Insecticons that came out a year or two ago. Do TRU sell things like the upcoming MP Hot Rod/Rodimus on there site or is the only way to get them to go instore?

I got the clear Starscream for $110 (including international postage) online, I think that is a good benchmark for comparison with TRU (rrp$250/on sale$160). I find that TRU are not worth the time of day... especially when something has a "TRU exclusive" sticker, they just jack up the prices like crazy. Does anyone remember the movie one jazz in G1 colours? It was over $40 on the shelf for a deluxe figure. I got my insceticons from Robot Kingdom at a price that was fine... even when considering postage... I think maybe in the $70 range.

Unfortunately, we never recieved the exclusive Insecticons or Perceptor reissues. The only way to get one is either online or at shops who import direct. Found an Insecticon set at Uncle Pete's once, but not every store gets every figure. For example, while Shellharbour may get some eastern exclusives, Nowra winds up with nothing.


Does anyone remember the movie one jazz in G1 colours? It was over $40 on the shelf for a deluxe figure.

Sadly yes, and the fact my wallet was $50 lighter afterwards. :(

Unfortunately TRU in Australia don't currently have an online store, despite it looking like they sell stuff on their website (it has an online store section, and says they accept credit cards, but nothing appears to be 'purchase-able'...

I'll ask if there is any chance that they can sell these online, or else I can see if I can do it on their behalf in some way (without costing any extra before postage).
