I quite like the scheme, but I am saving myself for the re-release of the original deco (with apparent fixes), as my limited budget doesn't allow for many redecos, especially Masterpieces.

Man, I'm really disappointed. Even the ugly me up stick doesn't need to go for a few rounds with this.

Was hoping for the SG type repaint. This looks like they're pandering to the Action Master crowd (of which I'm not).

I have no reason to order this, apart from the gorgeous colours, MPs are not a line I'm into getting repaints of. Classics Rodimus in these colours however... :o

Can't they ever be creative and use something other than black, and something other than a 'dark/black/evil' xxxxxx (character name).
I'd be more interested if they took some inspiration from the colourschemes of diaclone/microman toys. At least if it looks weird, it would be homaging something that is unique enough to be worth buying to have next to the regular figure.

It reminds me of a comic skit (Shortpacked?) someone once did where Takara execs are spinning their "Wheel O' Exclusive Repaints" -- and the options are black black black black black clear black black -- tik tik tik tik tik tik... which will it stop on?! :D

And TakaraTomy site (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/takara-tomy-website-update-mp9b-black-rodimus-convoy-encore-20-devastator/22310/) has updated to include it and the Encore 20 Devastator.
