Casting rumours (already) for Transformers 4. Who'd you like to see?

I'm a HUGE fan of Jason Statham :cool: Transporter meets Transformers :D It's a long way off from being a reality though so I'll just watch DOTM a few more times :p

though come to think of it, doesn't the series need like a kid character the younger audiences can relate to? Or will Hasbro be willing to test the waters and try a movie without a young male lead?


Or maybe they wanna go for a different demographic since the "young kid" token human has already been totally done in the Bay Trilogy. Maybe they can set the story outside of America and have a non-American human lead! Like maybe... in Canada?! Oooh, exotic! :eek:

I've nothing against Jason Statham being in a fourth move, but for some reason the scene of Spike vs Scrapper from the IDW comic comes to mind. I'd imagine a movie staring him would have less robot vs robot action which I think fans wouldn't like.

If it's not a total reboot then at least one familiar character should come back. Leo from ROTF would probably be a cheap hire to get back. Epps too most likely. Neither actor has an existent movie careers and it could be an interesting pair up!

No complaints here for a Jason Statham character. At least someone might be able to rivial the bad ass-ness of Optimus. Although... i think Bay made Optimus a little TOO bad ass. Megatron should have been the badass... instead he became HoboTron.

Ew - I'd certainly prefer no humans to an IDW Spike analogue. If there must be human(oid)s, there are so many that I'd approve of - Alexis Thi Dang, Susan Hoffman, Marissa Fairborne, Joy Meadows, Cindy Newell, Verity Carlo, any Head/Target/Power(etc.)master companions (particularly Zarak) any Pretenders, anyone from G.I. Joe, Circuit Breaker (in an ideal world where Marvel permitted her), even Kelly from RiD.

I feel the same way about humans as I do about Transformers - I'd much rather see them use an existing character than make up unnecessary new ones for the films.

I agree Patrick along with Shia were the standouts in DOTM, shame they killed off his character.

I would love this, hell if Cowboys vs Aliens can do it why can't Transformers! Some of those Hearts of Steel designs were terrific.
