I saw that the other day while looking for something but forgot to post it :(

It doesn't say if the event it limited to any particular store, so could well be at every store (with Optimus and Bbee at two particular stores only).

It sounds like it is being aimed at the kiddies, not the adult fans of the franchise - so if anyone decides to stop by to have a look, don't be surprised if they only allow the kids to participate in the games and competitions.

For those of us oldies though, it does also mention that on that day only, if you buy 2 Legion figures, you get a third for free (makes them $5.33 each).

Right. I can see it already. It'll be like the angry parents at a footy match. Just replace the "footy" with "TFs".

I'm tempted to go to the Joondalup TRU but as mentioned by Accel...it would be weird to enter the competition against kids + if one of us adult collector's win...we may get boo'd for stealing the spotlight from the intended targets :p

Man I could imagine there being that 'cool/badass' kid with a TF belt, sunglasses and a DOTM toy hanging on the belt and this event being the highlight of the year. They probably have hundreds of hours of training in speed-transformation and all the other DOTM toys and are the envy of all the kids at school lol

to be fair the kids there will have no parents as they would have just been kicked out of the car as their parents went to the Sovereign to get drunk ;D

You got that right.

And you just cant show up and do it. It has to be booked in advance.

My Kids have been going to TRU partys for ages. They get some real good stuff sometimes. :D

But is it possible for those of us without bookings to rock up and spectate? Or is do they close up a part of the store just for the party?

The comp should start with RotF Leader Prime with all 3 modes of Voyager Mixmaster for the finals. hehe.
