Hey guys!

I've decided I'd like to do a bit of Transformer customizing but I have a few questions before I begin and I'd appreciate some experienced help as I go. So firstly the questions I have (might be obvious to some)

1. When adding parts to a TF is there a good glue (or something else?) to use that will appear smooth as though the added part had always been there? Or should it be glued on then gap filled?

2. Filling gap, screw holes... What do I use that is paintable and that paint won't dry different coloured?

Okay so that'll get me started for the moment until I come across more problems.

1. I use super glue for adding any parts or whatever needs glueing and the brand i have been using is ZAP which has been pretty good so far and you get different ones i.e. thing mendium and thick. Depends on what you glueing the part onto if you wanna it to be filled in or not.

2. This is a hard one as i have tried different putties like the green stuff that you can get from games workshop which isnt too bad but i find that most of the modelling putty takes too long to harden up for a impatient person like myself. So over the last couple of days ive decided just to use car filler (bog) or more specifically Standox Fine Stopper which is a 2 part putty. Ideally you should put a primer surfacer over these parts and then rub back smooth and then paint it and i know that Tamiya do a primer in a spray can cause thats what i use.

The glue I use depends on the material. I really like the brush on super glue Selleys quick fix. For small parts with light or no load I use GS Hypo.

For filling I use Aves apoxie sculpt. Really easy to use and smooth down with their safety solvent or just plain water.
As Loophole said primer is a must.

Once I get close to finishing the project I'll post some pics. Probably at the pre-painted stage I think.
