I don't care much about Lady Gaga's music but nowadays pretty much every music store I went in has this poster of her new album.

This just reminds me so much of a particular Go Bots character....

Her or her agents certainly know how to market her through the internet, to pretty much make people compete to be a bigger follower. She's like those stupid Kardashians (the celebrity family who are only famous for not being famous - thanks to a reality TV show of their lives), in which other media and businesses are only building up their popularity as a side effect of jumping on the bandwagon of the latest fad, to make money.
Lady Gaga certainly has musical talent, but the more I see or hear of her in the media, the more I see her as a new, female, Michael Jackson. Just like Jacko, she's talented in creating music and songs, sings and performs them well, likes to dress up in unusual outfits, seems obsessed with her visual appearance, and is rather eccentric in how she behaves when in public or being interviewed.
I wonder if those traits, and her extreme celebrity status (which would make it difficult to get close to someone who wants her, instead of her fame & money) will lead to her to the same lonely, depressed lifestyle...
I often see celebrities who become too big for their own personal happiness, making it difficult to find someone to just love them for who they are and not what they are. Throw a few eccentric traits into the mix, and I wonder if she will ever find 'the one' that will want to grow old with her.
(I can be such a tragic romantic sometimes... :p )

I saw a quick interview with her the other day where she stated that she "loves attention" and will do anything to get it... really???! Go figure!:rolleyes:

I guess her being such an "attention seeker" has to have something to do with the environment she grew up in. I remember she said in an interview that she grew up feeling "isolated" and "being a freak". Or, in rare cases some people are just born that way. I think both the objective and subjective factors come into play in her case

And she apparently likes ripping-off (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31749_162-20080765-10391698.html) other artists. For shame Gaga, for shame.

So is this art suggesting that Gaga was born to be ridden on?

Lol oh my god. I thought I was the only one who thought that about her :p. She's always reminded me of a blonde haired female radio pop friendly virsion of Marilyn Manson. With a little bit of Michael Jackson and Madonna mixed in so little girls don't become too scared of her

Wow...its amazing what threads you can find if you just look around...
Now...the comparisons between the Goddess Gaga and Manson are
warranted...but lets just hope Gaga has more staying power.
I will state that I'm a huge Gaga fan...and I was also a huge Manson
fan back in the day...but now Manson seems washed up...and I
haven't enjoyed any of his music since The Golden Age of Grotesque.
Its funny that once people started ignoring Manson...he seemed
to disappear...so the same could happen to Gaga if she is not careful.
The strange outfits, crazy music videos and strange rumors have
all helped her retain a certain level of exposure...and the fact she
writes awesome little pop tunes doesn't hurt either.
All Hail Gaga!
:D
