Well heres my DMK 01 Optimus prime model kit. Even though im not that into the movies i bought this because of how accurate it is to the CG modeling. the kit has amazing details! so much so that in the end you can't see many of them but its good to know that they are there.

Anyway like i have said bdfore i started this kit at 1:30PM and completed it at 10:00PM but had dinner and a few brakes between.

But onto the pictures
here is the skeleton you build onto

Only mods were 3 coats of tamiya clear and 2 coats of tamiya pearl clear to really give it a shine like in the movie

That is definitely a stunning piece and I think the added clear and pearl coats you gave it Rampagesss, really goes along way in cementing the CG look of the model.:cool:

Well done mate ;), now that you've completed it; did you have any thoughts or feelings on the kit itself during the build? - Like any little pieces of advice or build tips you might have for those who might be looking to acquire it themselves?

If your thinking about getting one do it! To get something else like this you would have to but a statue for a lot more money, and with this it still moves and is crazy pose-able. Also just take your time and make sure to do it right, some of the pieces in the chest can be glued on to make it easier and so that things don't fall off.
Also be VERY careful with the mirrors on his doors as i broke one :( but glued it back on :D And the last thing you have to do is put the fuel tanks and smoke stacks on his back, which to do you have to press on them hard while pushing hard on the front of the chest which is a little scary!

But overall its a great kit extremely well detailed, was thinking about getting bumblebee but hes not as nice and is pritty small compared to Prime.
But am still thinking about doing another prime with dry-brushing to bring out more details and going for a slightly battle worn look, but still not sure

It's nice but expensive, I was tempted to get the my wife's patents to hunt for one in HK but they aren't there long and not really into toy shopping. :(

Damn, that's nice. I'm hoping to get one too, but not terribly sure how...

I love this model kit.

Have been eyeing the robotkingdom preorder for a while but it seems they require full payment by paypal upfront?

Anyone ordered from robotkingdom before? Have they given any trouble?

RK's fine. They mess up orders quite a bit, but they always set it straight.

I had no intention of getting one of these, but after seeing some pics and reviews, I'm pretty keen. Gonna have to get one of each.

Yep that looks amazing! Wanting to get one too, the site my friend orders from is out of stock for Dual Model OP's however recently purchased the Bumblebee in the meantime.

I agree he doesn't look as great as OP but still looks nice. I was also contemplating the dry brush thing (although not sure yet, will see how happy I am with original look first).
