Wow, a Sixshot?

This is intriguing as it's most certainly a toy that Hasbro would never attempt (at least not with 6 modes).

However I need clearer pics. I can barely see the design and some of it looks a bit too 'preliminary'.

Those are just CAD pics, so don't expect him too soon.

I'm pretty keen nonetheless.

Seems there are more cool 3rd party toys being announced everyday, I wonder if its because CAD suites and 3d printers becoming more affordable?

Imagine 10-20 years from now we might be able to make our own toys.

Oooh. but um, have Mastermind improved their quality control? I heard Knight Morpher wasn't so great but the black version was better. Anyone got one of those?

Apparently their second run of knight morpher commander (the red one) has the QC issues fixed.

Yes this is true. Vangelus gave it a glowing review:

I am afraid he is a little too big but certainly still liking it a lot!

I do wish he was more Ultra size though.

Lord_Zed

I don't mind the size that much (though he is a bit big) given his role in the IDW comics as a super weapon, however the cost of such a large 3rd party toy!!!!!!

That is a worry, lets hope they keep it reasonable.

I am hoping that it's roughly the same price as the Knight Morpher ($80-$100) - maybe just a bit more since it is a large more complex toy. The Knight Morpher is a smaller figure but it does come with the addition of a trailer so as a whole it should be around the same in bulk to this Six Shot.

Wow, long time since this thread active. Anyways, a good way to revive it is with picture and video review of Hexarton!

By TJ Duckett:

Certainly a glowing review, but it was of a prototype. I hope the mass production models retain the same level of quality.

Looking at my Knight Morpher Shattered Glass Commander, as good as he is it's hard to believe these toys come from the same company style wise.

Yeah, I can see that Hexatron is more in line with the MMC Hearts of Steel seekers than the Knight Morpher mold. I still like Knight Morpher although he now looks rathet dated.

Hmm, for some reason I've been wanting a Sixshot for a while now, maybe I was just waiting for this guy to come along cause he looks great.
From what I can tell he's got great poseability and is a good size figure for the price, so I suppose it's just a matter of how good the quality of the final product is.
Other then that I'm pretty much sold.

MMC is a proven Third party - They thought of that. The swords are on moving scabbards that get out of the way of articulation.

Any chance of contacting MMC/Retailer you got him from and buying a spare part?

Oh gosh thats terrible! I'd be beside myself if something happened to my Hexatron.
Very cool that MMC is helping with a replacement.

You don't seem to be having much luck with this character. First a destroyed Sixshot and now damaged Terminus Hexatron.
Its like there's a hex on you with 6-changers.

they are so much better than most companies like hasbro.

Glad they're so supportive and that you didn't need to fork out cash for a brand new one :)

Just curious, I've seen Peaugh drop the Feral Rex prototypes from chest-height in a convention video before and everything was still intact. What height did Hexatron fall from?

I imagine it would depend on what part of Hexatron hit the ground.

from the top of one of those 4x4 cube shelves on to carpet.

my guess is the angle it fell at combined with the weight of the toy on that part is why it snapped (OMG PHYSICS)

just really bad luck to be honest. i could probably drop it from that height a dozen times and not be able to damage it

Ouch! I asked because my Hexatron, Feral Rex, and M3 are shelved at a height of 1.5m inside a closed cabinet, however standing on its edge because of the stuff I have behind them. It'll be my worst nightmare to open the cabinet to have them tumbling down onto me - who to catch first?!

Has anyone noticed that Hexatron's Starfighter mode, when simply flipped upside down, makes a convincing battlecruiser?

klystron
7th April 2015, 10:37 PM
I had mucked with the upside-down starfighter before. Its not without its charm and does have a few aesthetic advantages over the normal starfighter - like the six engine exhausts detail being more visible, cleaner forward fuselage (purple front bit), rear tank treads being hidden on the underside (now landing gear/treads), as well as forward and rear facing crew compartments (?, I dunno what to call them). Can even use the front landing skids as a hatch opening (yay, imagination!).
Only thing that kills it for me is the high-mounted wings.

Hexatron is such a good figure to muck about with like that. So many alterations and fan modes!

prjkt
8th April 2015, 09:35 PM
I kinda like the high-mounted wings, weapons hanging below them - kinda reminds me of some of the Klingon ships from Star Trek
