Came as a bit of a shock to me. But he is an amazing voice actor, and you can notice his voice in whatever he does (including when I heard his voice in Bill & Ted)

I love this story, reminds me a bit of session players (of music), the hardest working and most recorded are often not your typical rock or pop (or in franks case movie) stars.

Wow! Did not know anything about this guy apart him being a voice of Soundwave. Good on him I say!

Did he? He also did Station, you can tell from the combined voice he sounds like Soundwave without the digitisation :p

and thats why he never goes to any of the TF conventions because hes actually busy with work because he so great and what he does

Seriously though, congratulations to the bloke as he is an extremely hard worker and has been like that for the better part of 30+ years. ;):cool:
You watch though, the day he attends BOTCON will be the day the world record for the most simultaneous humans fainting is recorded! :p

Fantastic reward and recognition for someone who has basically spent his life going from job to job, doing his work, and taking quiet comfort in that.
For over 30 years now Mr Welker has been going from show to show, doing what is necessary to bring to life the many many characters of our childhoods.

Would love to go to a meet & greet and have a chat with Megatron, Soundwave, Dr.Claw, The Devil etc etc

In that article, they said he did the voice for Stripe in Gremlins...I thought that was Michael Winslow ?
