As reported on TFW (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-just-movie-31/transformers-dark-of-the-moon-home-video-release-on-september-30th-173165/), it seems that the DVD is coming out sooner than expected - September 30th.

Has anyone heard of a release date for us? From memory we got the last two movies in / around November 2007 and 2009 and it would make sense to have a global release date for the third movie to combat piracy.

I'll be picking up at least two version (as I have before) - standard 2-disc release and the transforming case release.

Haven't heard anything but I thought ROTF came out earlier. Remember getting a shock when I found it.

Yeah i recall ROTF coming out earlier too.

Same for me, I'll get one transforming case and one blu-ray version. Hopefully they come out with another character for the transforming case this time. I've got Optimus Prime for the first movie and bumblebee for ROTF.

My local video shop (video fan/network video) has dotm for rental as of 10th November.

That was quick. I thought it would have been released around Xmas to cash in on the gift market.

I thought that too, but the blu-rays and dvds of both movies tend to sell out during x-mas

It's starting to look unlikely that Sep 30th will be the US release date with a number of online sites removing this date from the product information with statements along the lines of 'unless it comes from the studio, it's not official'. It seems as though TFW jumped the gun a bit early on this one.

Image of the transforming case we are likely to see here.

Despite it being Megs from TF1, I'm happy that I'll have the transforming cases for all 3 movies. What can I say; I'm a completist :D

They've already done Megatron with the first movie... I wonder if it will be a new mould. It'd be nice to have all three in transforming cases, like a set.

The first movie was Optimus. I was hoping for Shockwave for this one, but hey. I'll be buying it :)

The first movie was Optimus.

They also had a Megatron (http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/07/transforming-megatron-dvd-case.html) one which I don't believe was released locally.

Yeah, the Megatron one wasn't released here. I think it may have been only released in the UK. Since I never got around to buying it (I didn't need yet another copy of the first movie), I'll be happy to get it with TF3.
