i'd consider returning the 2 i've got... rebuying them and a couple of deluxes for the same price.

It's a bit of a slap in the face but I still consider $80 a pretty good price for an MP. Also you can never really guarantee that TRU will put an item on sale at any point during it's shelf life.

It's not just you. We've all these experiences. No one would have predicted this price.

This could have been another MP Grimlock, disappearing so quickly I'm not even sure it came out here (it did ;) ). It could have been another MP Ghost Starscream too expensive to go anywhere.

I don't mind that I paid $80 for rodimus I'm really happy with it and I think it was a fair price so I wont complain about it dropping to $60 now.

I think it was griffin that had problems getting the new scanning figures for $20 during last weeks sale because they weren't mechtech deluxes, so I wonder what they will say about their catalogue this week considering they have a scanning figure pictured but the text says mechtech deluxe

You can literally just print of the receipts, but they may ask you for your original purchase receipt. It's still worth a shot though!

The thing to remember with MP Rodimus, is that a lot of stores probably don't have any left. Many sold out within days of getting them, so the risk with TFs (especially store exclusives) is to either grab them at full price while you can, or wait for a sale and have none left to get cheaper.

As for the Mechtech Deluxe sale - to think that I went to so much trouble to get the second Scanning pair at $24 last week, and next week actually has the photo of one which would make it easier to get them to match it if it doesn't scan up at the $21 sale price.

I hope that Cyberverse 4-pack arrives before the sale ends.

TRU near me had 16 on the weekend, and Paulbot has mentioned one near him having similar numbers. We're pretty set down here in Melbourne.

Just called local TRU to confirm, can return items that are unopened for up to 90 days after purchase date! Woohoo!

Yes, just in front before you go to the TF aisle, there's heaps at the bottom shelf of MP Rodimus(20+). Then at the TF aisle, there was probably 6 or 8 more. I was thinking of doing a drive last thursday but I hate the traffic.

This was saturday 5pm.

Why don't you call TRU and reserve one over the phone? (Is that possible?)
I only reserve at Toyworld since I have to pay shipping as well.

Reserving at toys r us is totally possible. But be warned, most of them aren't familar with tfs n go by the tags.

Which definition of 3 days is that? Just say respond within 2 days or add that purchase day is part of 3 days. Why do i have to find out that thru the FAQ?

Just got back with a MP Rodimus. When I got there, there was only 1 Rodimus left and the box was beat up. Thankfully I started roaming around and saw a worker carrying a box marked as Hasbro. When I asked he confirmed that he was restocking the MP Rodimus :D

I waited for him to finish and grabbed the best one.

I also saw two MP Ghost Starscreams selling for $250 each :eek:
