I love anything that contains psychedelia or funk. I don't believe that either of those two characteristics are genre specific, and I'm very appreciative of artists that can jump around lots of genres.

FYI, Shpongle is half Simon Posford, who undoubtedly has the midas touch.

i likes what i hears, whatever sounds good gets bought or downloaded

I tend to stick to hip-hip & soul. Some favourites:

Pete Rock
Little Brother
Common Sense
Mos Def
Consequence
Erick Sermon
Erykah Badu
Alicia Keys
Jean Grae
Hi Tek
Wu-Tang (except Cappadonna!)
Naughty By Nature
Biggie Smalls
Public Enemy
Slum Village
Redman
Marvin Gaye

And, out of left field compared the list above, Merril Bainbridge.

I'll be surprised if anyone here knows all of the above artists (:

BTW, Damned, might I suggest you use a smaller font for your dislikes. It's a little insulting to those who appreciate the stuff you don't screaming it like that. I have a friend who's big on Country & Western - not that you'd pick it - but as much as I find it a weird and sometimes awful genre, I'm not going to sit there and slag it off at him. If it brings him pleasure, I'm happy to respect that.

I'm a 70's/80's rock guy. :) I'm the guy that cranks raining blood and jesus built my hot rod in his car. :D The only hip hop I can stand is run dmc and to a lesser extent beastie boys.

I really like the incorporation of rock into what run dmc does. :)

Music after 1995 I largely don't want to know about. Souless churn wagon garbage it is. Especially R&B from then till now. And yes, I hate techno/dance too. Especially the doof doof butcherings of perfectly good older songs.

Yeah. He changed it to Common for legal reasons. His first two albums were sold under "Common Sense", which just sounds better (:

there was some song constantly being played on ABC tv in the 90's

it was some guy on a roller coaster at night

and the chorus was something like "Yes i love the car (?) coming home you even if i know im not going to make it"

Anyone know that song, my friend constantly asks about it but we both cant recall the name

if it was up to me id abolish music, specially todays

When im on the bus or train some emo or thug starts playing their Ipods(?) really loudly with their doomph doomph music etc

What i hope to do one day is get an ipod and play either classical music over their music or some happy song from the 80s
