1orion2many is the proud owner of something of an oddity.
For any that own a Beast Wars Bonecrusher, the Bison, they would know that his missile is black. (Any that want a Bonecrusher, let me know :p)

But 1orion2many is in possession of a white one, a picture of which can be seen HERE (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/attachment.php?attachmentid=4305&d=1316828414) unless 1o2m might post it in this thread as well for easier comparison.
Now, the black missile isn't painted black, it's cold black plastic, and clearly this albino missile is cold white plastic, much like the white plastic pieces on the figure.
But if the black missile is cast in the same sheet as the other black pieces, how on earth do we end up with a white one?
Has anyone come across anything like this before?

Whoa, that's weird. Even Big Horn (the BWII repaint of Bonecrusher) has the same black missile, so it's not as if that white missile could have been mixed up from that. <shrug>
Unless it's rreeeaaalllyy badly photodegraded!! :P (or mebbe someone dipped it in bleach??) :p weird.

Could it be KO?
Was Bonecrusher ever KO'ed though?

Not that I'm aware of. 1O2M said it was tucked safely inside a Bonecrusher. Tis a mystery for sure.

I can't find anything about it.
I looked over my collection to see if it was a reuse of the mould on another toy at around the same time (as it was mentioned that it was bought at about the same time as Bonecrusher's release).
I also looked over the Variants website and ebay to see if any other Bonecrushers had white missiles.
And I did several google pic searches for Bonecrusher and Knock-Offs to see if a white version would show up. (didn't find a Bonecrusher KO either)
It's a stumper though... and I'd be just as interested in finding out its origin.

Are we sure they're actually his missiles and not someone's missiles?
Maybe the reused the missiles, cast in a different coloured plastic and they ended up with the toy?

That's why I did above (looked over toys within a few years of that toy for a similar missile) but couldn't find any.

More diiferences, Feet aren't coloured Gold and the panels which are red inside are unpainted, The face wasn't coloured properly as it should be black across the eye area with red eyes, this one is unpainted across the eye area with a small amount of red paint on the eyes. One of two things, Either there was a btach of unknown KO's(very good quality if it is) or it's a pre-production piece:confused:

Yes he was.
As it happens, I purchased a KO Bonecrusher for $7 way back in roughly 2001 at a discount store located in Sydney's west (that has since closed down, mind). Aside from his legs falling apart upon opening the card, he also came with a white missile.
Given 1orion2many's description of unpainted parts, it sounds exactly like the KO I own, but after reading the part of fine quality plastic, stranger things have occured.

Indeed it does. Until we have some pics for comparison, we still can't be sure.
I hope it's not a KO personally. I'd love for some marvel to have slipped through Hasbro's quality net.

Being a KO is entirely plausible though. There have been KOs of Beast Wars Transformers around since Beast Wars began.

It could also be from a Hasbro/Kenner prototype or pre-release concept. Somewhat like in the G1 catalog, those funky colored toys photographed must have existed at some time.

Ooo, yes. Imagine if someone stumbled upon a transparent orange Tarantulas. He always amused me on the back of the packaging.

I doubt that a discount store in Sydney's west would be selling a pre-release concept or prototype. ;) I think being a KO is the more likely explanation.

I didn't get this from Sydney it was a Perth based dealer who was very reliable, I can't remember when I got this but it would have been very late 90's early 2000's. I am leaning towards a KO myself at the moment, Would I still be able to find a Hasbro stamp on it?

The figure is currently in various pieces across numerous boxes, so I'll post a complete body shot once I have a, well... body to display. ;) Hope this helps as a starting point.
