For those with youngens, or want to see some of the new Lego games in action, Lego has a promotional tour during the school holidays, showing off 5 of their boardgames and giving away free Series 3 MiniFigures and Lego Games as prizes. But be aware that it is for kids of about 5-10 years old.

For 5 days at each location, timed to school holidays in 3 states, they will be located at:

Brisbane (http://my247.com.au/brisbane/Westfield-Garden-City/whats-on/LEGO-Games-Tournaments-at-WESTFIELD.224819) (Westfield Garden City only) Wed 21st Sep - Sun 25th
Sydney (http://macarthur-chronicle-camden.whereilive.com.au/events/story/lego-games-tournaments-at-westfield/)(Westfield Parramatta) Wed 28th Sep - Sun 2nd Oct
Melbourne (http://events.heraldsun.com.au/events/lego-games-tournaments-at-westfield#.Tn6exOyvYZI) (Westfield Southland) Wed 5th Oct - Sun 9th Oct

So unfortunately for those in Brisbane, I only found out about it today while at Garden City, but fans in the other two cities still have a shot at checking them out.
(one of our board members was actually running the display at the Brisbane site, so was able to get some info from him about it)
