Anyway, I noticed the ID numbers for Blue Bacchus and Black Shadow are weird, they are places right in the middle of Masterforce, although they were released in and for Victory...

Heh the irony of the whole security theme of the guy is that he's actually on the legit side of the "Trasformer" line (not sure how many people know about the "half a license" incident with GiG back in 84).

I was pleasantly surprised by the weight of him. I knew it was diecast but I didn't realize it'd be so heavy. He's so much easier to handle because of that extra weight.

I am very much in love with MP Optimus, all the little details and gimmicks are wonderful! And I love the look of the battle damage this 20th anniversary one has.

Rhinox is a beautiful statue.. Hard Hero were delivering the best statues around this time.. unfortunaly it was towards the end of the lisence agreement and they didnt renew... i would of loved to see more beast wars particulary the waspinator that was planned to get released next...

Cheers dude, I have been trying to fill a couple of gaps here and there with my G1 figures; I mean, there are gaping holes but I try to grab good deals when and where I see them. ;):cool:

And Finally my second box from Botcon comes home and is opened up!!
My sister brought it back from the states for me as her second piece of luggage, luckily I put the polycarbonate panels in as the box suffered quite a beating. the Predaking box is a bit dinged but all the figures are OK.

Scorponok is HUUUGE, as you can see from the pictures his colours are really rich still. I am yet to tranform him into city mode but the robot mode towers adn the scorpion mode is pretty sweet if not a bit chunky. Alll of the joints are ratcheted and strong. the only bug bear I had was getting the visor on, felt like I was going to break something.

My biggest problem with him is having somewhere to display him properly at the moment. he's too big for the current cabinet set up.:eek:

When I get the chance which probably wont be for at least a couple months I'll try and do a review.

I am yet to tranform him into city mode but the robot mode towers adn the scorpion mode is pretty sweet if not a bit chunky. Alll of the joints are ratcheted and strong. the only bug bear I had was getting the visor on, felt like I was going to break something.

My biggest problem with him is having somewhere to display him properly at the moment. he's too big for the current cabinet set up.:eek:

Glad to hear you're enjoying him man and that he is in great condition by the sounds of things ;):), I also had issues trying to display him for quite sometime before I just went and bought a whole new shelving unit. :p

Great Haul There UMgl !!!:D:D:D:D Yep that's what I thought when I got Scorpy myself ... and I got mine less than what I paid for my G1 Swoop:p:p. It's an awesome bulky figure. Wait 'll you get Fort MAx (or Brave Max) though then you'll suddenly see how "puny" Scorpy is all of a sudden heheheh

The Deceptiquiz book is the only one out of all of them that has some writing inside, its pencil though so i could prob remove it without too much hassle. Some of it is really hard haha, like some poorly drawn heads and you have to identify them, some are obviously easy but the kid has written Thundercracker for one of them, no way i could tell :confused:

Thanks, yeah I've heard some real horror stories about TM Megs before.. But this one is unharmed so far, I was really careful transforming him though!

Rampage is actually terrifying, the Takara version is mostly made of translucent red plastic that makes him look like he's been drinking blood. And yes, having just transformed TM2 Megatron, I can safely say that having a metallic, asymetrical dragon on my shelf is one of the best things ever. :D

Those tattered wings spread wide and a big red metal dragon looks so majestic on display it's what triggered me to collect at least all the Beast figures that appeared in the show - TM (better) version.... I didnt like the dinoskater version - plus I didnt want the hassle of dealing with BPS:o:p

Which one is the show accurate version of Rampage though - Takara's or Hasbro's? I got the Hasbro one and Im fine with it... havent really transformed it though in Tank mode... need instructions:o:o:p heheheh

I definitely agree here, Goki very kindly proved it to me 1st hand that the Takara Release is the superior product but if you're not intending to muck around with Hasbro's version a lot then you should be right. ;)

They're "o.k".
They have very simple transformations (they almost feel like up-scaled legends).
The robot modes don't look too bad but they have balance issues and the alt modes are nice from the top but are just robots hanging underneath.
I would strongly recommend against paying full price for these but if you can get them for a discount and you like the look of the crossover line, give them a try. :)

Now Ive finally completed my show cast! - (except for Ravage and Transmutate of course) Would've loved a TM Tigatron but being a Botcon exclusive , is just too expensive. pardon the lighting he's quite all white in person...and the metallic paint of the bluegreen parts are so ... wow! Makes the figure quite elegant looking in bot mode.

Now Ive finally completed my show cast! - (except for Ravage and Transmutate of course) Would've loved a TM Tigatron but being a Botcon exclusive , is just too expensive. pardon the lighting he's quite all white in person...and the metallic paint of the bluegreen parts are so ... wow! Makes the figure quite elegant looking in bot mode.

Hehe I don't know why but ever since I was a kid I loved Rocklords, yet couldn't stand Gobots beyond Cy-kill and Crasher. :p:D
My favourite would probably have to be Crackpot (Bloke in the middle) as he was my favourite figure as a kid, as well as in the Movie, as he had the coolest looking face, IMO. ;):cool:

Finally got my MP-10 in the mail yesterday. Opened him up and GAWD he is nice. All the detail on him and articulation are so nice. He's the toy I've waited 27 years for. I know some people haven't liked the almost all plastic but I think it would have made him feel too heavy/clunky. I'm kinda anti die cast though ad I've always associated it with cheap toys. Great articulation especially on Thundershred's shoulders. I'm really impressed with them. Pick them up and grab a set of reprostickers when they finish releasing them all.

What always makes me chuckle is people complaining about the price points on the Hasbro products compared to size but when it comes to a third party product are willing to pay 2,3 sometimes 4 times as much for an equivalent sized item. People will say "but the 3rd parties items are far better quality". I'm sure Hasbro could put out items for the same price and just as good quality but of course you would then get people complaining about the price even though they'd pay that for a third party just because it's Hasbro:rolleyes:

I'm yet to see a third party product that is twice the quality of an equivalent HasTak Product. let alone 4 - 5 times.

generally the 3rd party stuff is more expensive due to smaller production runs and less distribution of developement costs.

Theoretcally over time these costs should reduce, but only time will tell if it's passed on to the collector.

As I typically seem to approach things, the hard way :rolleyes::p, there weren't any tweezers used but just a pair of pins. :eek::D
I could indeed pull it off, as Reprolabels had the forethought and extra space on the sheet to include a backup just in case of mistakes, but it's such a minute detail I reckon I'll probably just leave it as it is... What do you think? :)

I've never been a massive fan of the Star Wars Cross Overs, however, the moment I set eyes on this guy, I wanted to get him. For some reason, this appeared to be a TRU exclusive, and at $80 RRP I couldnt justify him. However, Tober was kind enough to post a 20% off voucher and for $64 I could justify the purchase. So here he is!

Yup, they are quite different from the Coffee figures in terms of detail and design. The Coffee figures are much closer to their G1 animated counterparts, where these figures are more detailed, but not that G1 anime accurate (but still accurate if you get what I mean).

Yes, HMs were very hard to find. I had to buy them off a guy in the Nethelands. Very happy that I have the genuine ones now, especially after the disappointment in Osaka where the shop were selling the KOs at genuine prices (which I didn't buy of course).

Im aiming for at least 2 more (4 in total) so I can display em around the deluxe figures as the toy army troopers ( just like in the series cartoons). I haven't really seen this figures much in Australia at all. The only other time I did, I bought it (there was only one:() So im quite pleased to get another... Ill get to my four target slowly, someday heheheh...

If you can find any :(:( the darn things are quite hard to find here in Aus, prolly better in online overseas seller. Ive only ever spotted it once in a retail store (Big W) when animated was the line out, now I highly doubt coz of the movieverse not moving/shelfwarming the pegs. good luck though.:)

BB with Starscream is what they were called when repainted as Predacons for Beast Wars (in the abandoned colour scheme originally intended in G2 as Megatron and Starscream). RiD reused the moulds again as Dreadwind and Smokejumper. Then RM reused them again as Gigant Bomb and Smokesniper. Phwoar!

Thankfully the figure was undamaged on the way. As always happens to me with anything Beast Wars I import, customs opened the box and made a mess of it. They ripped open the statue box but thankfully they did not damage the inner foam and therefore the statue.

Rhinox is a beautiful statue.. Hard Hero were delivering the best statues around this time.. unfortunaly it was towards the end of the lisence agreement and they didnt renew... i would of loved to see more beast wars particulary the waspinator that was planned to get released next...

Agreed. It's a pity they didn't do more. I still need to hit up my holy grail, Hard Hero Megs. Hard to find. A pity they didn't do more b/c unlike the other co's that had the licence, they went for (and achieved) a genuine classic look that was homage to the character and their shows.

Picked up a few nice things this last couple weeks, Armageddon purchases, and phat birthday loot from the wife. Pretty happy with my MS juggernaut and BD green arrow, both excellent figures. got a GT-01R G1 ratchet upgrade. what a piece of junk , its face wasn't aligned properly and his robot visor fell off.Got a complete g1 scattershot with minty sixshot and quickswitch, the not-MP seeker coneheads and some random beastwars stuff.

@Arcee: Wow, is that a variant? I only have the one that was going around for sale at KMart but it had a different box deco ( they used the DW artwork from issue 1 I think)... that is an awesome find!:D

@UMgnal - some of us Westies tried using RH to play with but the figs are ( believe it or not) too big to fit the squares when there's 2 of em. It fits fine just one but if two of you land in the same square during play one would be shoved out hehehe

Well mine doesnt have any - did you mean the square hole next to the turret on his viewmaster weapon? That in mine is just a square hole. I bought this one from Parra fair (cheapcheap heheh) after scavenging through a box on the floor of one of the stallholders. I believe it doesn't have any clear plastic covering it there. Of course I could be wrong, so best to have another person who has one check as well.
