Over at Tformers (http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=16622), some images have already been revealed of some of the TFs on display at this year's NYCC.

Prime toys:
Legion Arcee,
Legion Cliffjumper
Legion Vehicon
Legion Bumblebee
Cmdr Megatron
Cmdr Starscream
Cmdr Optimus
Cmdr Bulkhead

Playset (apparently that's Wheeljack on top, and it will be his playset)

Kreo (only existing sets were shown)
Movie (had the Ark on display)

No doubt there will be other TFs on display, as this just appears to be a sneak peak at only a small portion of product.

Some clearer pics of the Wheeljack toy and his spaceship playset at tfw2005 (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-prime-39/hasbro-preview-event-pics-from-new-york-comic-con-173526/).

Looks like the actual NYCC display is pretty light on new stuff, with most of the good stuff shown off a the Preview event (in the links above, but some clearer pics).

The actual display (http://tformers.com/transformers-nycc-2011-preview-night-prime/16629/news.html) has the small Prime toys on display, as well as HA Soundwave, plus other items that have already been released (Kreo, DotM, Rescue Bots).

TFW2005 managed to find (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys--products-30/dark-of-the-moon-deluxe-wave-6-on-display-at-new-york-comic-con-173534/) the DotM wave 6 on display as well (Soundwave & Wheeljack).

Each is listed December as its release date, so a lot of new product is expected out before Christmas (and maybe here too).

I wonder if I buy a spare Generations Wheeljack now, could I put it's head on DOTM Wheeljack's body (instead of waiting for the DOTM Wheeljack repaint with the different head)?

I sure hope Takara do a release of the Legion, Deluxe & Human Alliance figures of Soundwave, they're utterly void of any Silver paint making them look so horribly bland... :(
(And I was really hoping for good things here... :()

Has there been any word from our North Asian mates? :o

The Prime figures are looking very basic to me, the only one I like just looking at the pictures is Bulkhead, Arcee looks shockingly cheap:(

They're all Cyberverse figures dude, not the Deluxe upwards figures, the Bumblebee and Arcee Deluxe figures though were originally intended to be part of the Generations line. ;):)

Man those Voyagers look impressive!! Bulkhead looks pretty good considering how round his robot mode is and how, um not round ( or square) his vehicle is! Looks like a lot of robot crammed into that car mode!

Quite a bit of shcmicky sculpting on Prime as well.

What's this 'First edition' business though?

Gonn have to bulk up on Eradicons in this series though! :D

'First Edition' probably means that those first-release figures at December (in time for Christmas) will either be re-released in March with the full launch of the line... or be like the Movie Preview wave, in that March will have the next wave of those classes instead.

I'm not a major fan of the Prime cartoon, but those toys are looking pretty amazing. Bulkhead and Arcee are bought.
Quejack looks alright too.

Aaaaaaah. I see. Phew, at least now the 3 Primes to 1 Bulkhead odds in the case aren't looking so terrible now!:D

Posted up at TFW2005 (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-prime-39/transformers-prime-soundwave-wheeljack-and-cliffjumper-at-nycc-173564/) are some new additions to the NYCC display cabinet - Deluxe sized TF-Prime Soundwave w/ Laserbeak, Cliffjumper & Wheeljack.

The 'First Edition' wave appears to be Wave 0, because these figures are being referred to as Wave 1 by Hasbro. They are to be released with the other size classes in March next year (priced at US$12).

I'm getting this exact impression also. ;):)

TFW also took some pics and notes (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/conventions-15/key-images-from-the-transformers-panel-at-nycc-173563/) from the Hasbro presentation panel.

Upcoming figures shown:

Movie Wave 7 Dlx - White Wheeljack (blue version in Wave 6), Bumblebee (redeco of the W1&3 mould - yes, this is the fourth Dlx Bbee in 7 waves).
Movie Wave 7 Dlx - White Ratchet (3rd Dlx Ratchet in DotM - 2nd one was mostly red), Soundwave (looks like black & red redeco to homage Soundblaster).
Movie Dlx Optimus w/ Trailer (same as the Chronicle set Optimus - different trailer to the JP Voyager Optimus)
Prime Wave 1 Dlx - Cliffjumper, Soundwave w/ Laserbeak.
Movie EVAC - Deluxe & Legion class toys (is based on the Universal Ride character, so should be in the Movie universe/packaging)

Plus some more concept images from the FoC game.

Love the Deluxe 'Prime' toys and makes the Cyberverse Legions skipable, unless they don't release a deluxe or larger version.

I wonder why they label it as Robots in Disguise... have they not decided yet that the series is named TF:Prime?

It is weird eh?

I noticed that too. DotM has 'Cyberverse' & 'Mechtech' for the small and large mainline figures... and the smaller Prime figures also have the 'Cyberverse' tag. But since Prime doesn't have the 'Mechtech' gimmick, perhaps they are using RiD as its tag for larger figures (either as its official tag, or just a temporary one for the NYCC display).

+1 =o)

On that note, I'm keen as hell to get this (http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/transformers-prime-bumblebee-and-arcee-set?BR=496&ST=SO&PG=1) set, but I've never dealt with HasbroToyShop.com. Do they ship to Australia, and is it reasonably priced? Any help appreciated, I'm hoping to get one before the scalpers buy them all.

griffin

Hasbro online does not ship internationally, so secondary sources is your only option if you don't know someone in America (or a forwarding company) to buy it from that site directly.
I'm probably just going to go through BBTS to get all the NYCC exclusives, since I missed out on SDCC Starscream.

Shame about the toystore :( Does BBTS have it yet? Saw on eBay sellers pricing the pack at the $80 mark. I'd like them but not $80 like them. I'm having trouble finding good deals on anything I want on eBay at the moment. :o

Well, while it stays at 90% Scalpers/10% Casual Sellers, that's what we gotta put up with. Such a greedy world... But yeah, no luck on BBTS yet =o(

Courtesy of Seibertron.com; the slides presented at the Hasbro: Transformers Panel (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/hasbro-nycc-transformers-panel-slides/23076/), from the recent New York Comic Convention, have been released that present some of the current and upcoming lines to be coming out over the next year (2011/12).

I'm starting to see the appeal of the Prime toys a bit more clearly now. Has the show improved much since the earlier eps?

Paulbot
25th October 2011, 12:38 PM
Remember how a few years ago Hasbro were saying they wouldn't do some characters because they'd be too similar to toys in other lines and would compete with them.

(E.g. So no Classics 2.0 Blitzwing or Jazz because there were Animated Blitzwing and Jazz toys on the market? )

Guess that's gone out the window now, when you've got:

Robots in Disguise Deluxe Wave 1
which has a yellow car named Bumblebee and a white car with red stripes called Wheeljack

followed by

Mechtech Deluxe Wave 7
which has a yellow car named Bumblebee and a white car with red stripes called Wheeljack

Kind of feel bad for Dino, being neglected and all. Bot deserves at least 1 transformable toy!
