Today I got a look at the new Kmart catalogue starting on the 31st. Sadly I couldn't get any pictures. Here's the TF sales:
DOTM Leaders - $65
Ultimate Optimus Prime - $65 (lowest price so far?)
Cyberverse action sets - $13.75
DOTM Ultimate Gift Pack (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/in-package-image-of-transformers-dotm-cyberverse-ultimate-gift-set/22707/) Kmart exclusive $29 (that's from memory, I got home and realized I hadn't written down the price. I apologize if that's the wrong price but I'm quite sure it was $29).
I think I'll probably get the gift pack, it looks pretty cool.

Anyone in Melb give a me good lead on a store with plenty of Optimus and Megatron? I'd love to get them both at that price.

The gift pack for 29 bucks seems like a good deal. 2 Commanders and 3 Legions. All repaints naturally!!!!

As long as my memory is correct, since that price was the one I forgot to write down.

I've never seen a Kmart sale start on a Monday.
Coinciding with long weekend, I suspect an opportunity for them. I'm sure they've had sales (non-TF) for 3 day only events before that started on non-Thursdays but coincided with a holiday or popular shopping period

It might have a different start date in those other states who don't get a day off for the races.
Or it could be a typo.
jena
24th October 2011, 06:59 PM
That's the date printed on the front of the catalogue. Most Kmart sales start on Thursday and end on Wednesday but this is one of the catalogues that will run at the same time as the normal weekly catalogues because it's a longer sale than normal.

When is this catalogue meant to be released?
Have been checking k-marts website all week with no luck, just the same 3 catalogues as yesterday :(

I'm not sure when it will be available to the public, probably a few days before it starts.

I'd buy that Ultimate Gift Set if they had done more to differentiate Sideswipe and Crowbar from the original versions.

is anyone know which store in Adelaide has them all?

30th October 2011, 09:23 PM
Sale is supposed to start tomorrow, but the Kmart near me didn't have any of the 5-packs on shelf yet.
At least the sale is for 3 weeks, so even if it takes a while, hopefully it'll show up before it ends.

That saves me typing up the Lego stuff.
Found the Megatron and Prime I was after at the first store I tried so happy. They didn't have many Cyberverse sets but stacks of the three leaders and Prime. All those should be easily found on sale.

If someone sees the 5 packs, they should grab a few spares. My local store had none over the weekend but then again, our store is only a D grade. It's pretty pathetic.

The sale is on, the shelves have tags, but there was no stock at two Kmarts I visited today (Helensvale and Southport). Just an empty shelf. I doubt it would have sold out so quickly, I think the staff are just very slack. There's big gaping holes on a lot of shelves for a lot of action figures, and they just haven't been restocking for awhile.

grab a Ultimate Prime from Kurralta Park, SA. They don't have five pack as well. But they have Cyberverse action sets: plenty of Bees, two megatrons, one prime and several stratscream left.

I only just received the catalogue today and granted, this could be due to a delayed 'Walk-&-Be-Paid' employee, but I've got to say that these sales aren't getting quite the advertising they'd normally get it seems?
You gotta do watcha gotta do, as Monday Monkey lives for the weekend. ;):p

It does seem to be a little slow, but don't forget the sale goes for a couple wekes, so thre may be stock in a few days or a week.
Maybe stock was a bit slow coming in from somewhere, as such the advertising has been delayed to avoid the average joe being dissapointed when the stock isn't on the shelf.
I'm hoping we get the soundwave and ratchet sets by the end of the sale. that would be sweet, though it may essentially be a clearance sale.

The Kmart I went to this morning had a note on the shelves saying the 5-pack was unavailable "at this store", but rainchecks could be made.
I don't know if it was just that store or state-wide

Keeping LordCyrus' recent sighting post in mind, I went to Kmart Warrawong today and I've got to say that the only tags indicating anything TF related was on Sale was for the Leader Class and the Cyberverse Action playsets...
They had at least 12x DOTM Ultimate Giftpacks and roughly 30x Ultimate Primes of whom didn't have a Sales tag (Hence reading $89.00) and weren't anywhere near the rest of the TF figures.
It was highly evident to me that, for this store at least, this sale clearly appears to be for Stock Clearance as everything that was on shelf were Wave 1 crap that hadn't moved for 6-8 months; I wonder why when pretty much 89% of their on-floor TF stock consisted of Bumblebee...
Aussie retailers really don't seem to be doing themselves any favours if the above is anything to go by, which is especially evident when you hear several parents with kids going through the isles saying: "It's not here/it's still too expensive - I'll just buy it on the Internet (In the case of one Grandmother: Internets :p)".
I'm honestly very glad to hear parents and grandparents turning to the Internet for retail, a far wiser and cost effective choice in my opinion.

Just back from Kmart Burwood 24/7 and there were about 10-15 sets of the Ultimate Gift 5-packs there for anyone who wants them.
