First given out at BotCon, then SDCC, then free through the Hasbro online store, and then in a mailaway promotion... plus it ended up being packed in the big Optimus Kre-O sets by mistake... now it's a bonus figure with a UK kids DrWho magazine (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/free-matrix-optimus-prime-kreon-with-uks-dr-who-adventures-comic/23067/).
Just how many of these things did Hasbro make? The way these first started out at BotCon you'd think that these were meant to be "special", "limited" or "exclusive". But with the amount of ways these have been given out, one could guess that there may well be more of the Matrix version than the regular one.
At this rate, I wouldn't be shocked to see this being given away with something in this country.
