Ultimate battle (ie, the 2 pack with floptimus prime) megatron?

http://cdn.tfw2005.com/resources/attach/4/0/5/9/7/Two-Pack-Mega_1218322552.jpg

Apart from all of the purple he's pretttttty close (I'm sure you knew of this toy though)

My favourite tank Megatron mould would be 1994's Hero Megatron (http://tfu.info/1994/Decepticon/Megatron/megatron.htm) - even if he is purple with a fluro orange air pump! :p He's like a smaller version of 1993 G2 Megatron, only with an articulated robot mode (making that toy a pioneer of articulated Transformer action figures).

Ultimate Battle Megatron does have nicer colours, but mouldwise it's not as neat as Hero Megatron - I mean, in context of their vintage. UB Megatron is a fairly ordinary figure by 2006 standards (the lack of a right hand and the way the gun-hand falls out so easily is disappointing, though the rest of the toy is fairly nice), whereas Hero Megatron was just an outstanding piece of engineering by 1994 standards -- among the first of a new breed of articulated TF action figures that we take for granted today.

And as weird as it looks, the air pump launcher gimmick is pretty fun. ;) (although the pump and hose can sometimes be cumbersome) THOOMP!

NOT ACCURATE ENOUGH!!!! :p I want fluro green with purple "glam-oflage" G2 Represent. Since that mold first came out that's what I've been wanting. I'm a sick sad man. ;)
He wasn't fluro green in the bulk of his canonical appearance (http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/0/00/Megatrong2idiot.jpg) though -- although he did still have his purple "glamouflage" (ah that Cobra Commander... always the prankster! :p) And to be fair he was bright green in his early canonical appearance (http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/6/6b/Megatrong2cobra.jpg) (during the GI Joe crossover, his green darkened when it switched to pure G2 Transformers) ;)

In any case, Megastorm =/= Megatron. He's a completely different character being a Predacon from Beast Wars with different colours... he lacks the purple glamouflage! Megastorm's camo decos are a more sensible/realistic brown! (gasp!) :p :p And he has that neat super hero "mask" around his eyes, à la The Incredibles! (heheh) :D Check out the underside of Megastorm where Takara have placed a massive sticker to cover up the battery compartment! (lulz)

He's a Japanese exclusive Legends toy in the same vein as the more recent United Targetmasters (spend a certain amount or buy a certain something and you get one). Pretty cool eh!

I'd love to get them all (there's quite a few), especially Skywarp but they appear really infrequently on ebay. The only other alternative is BBTS but their prices for them are a joke! I got Sunstorm for $35 inc. shipping, still pretty expensive but he's great and it's a mold I don't have. :)

Hazaa! - Congratulations on Classicsverse Skywarp Arcee! :D
He's my favoured Seeker as his colour scheme is just awesome, especially on that particular iteration of him ;), I honestly can't believe how crazy hard to find and expensive he has become ; issues that never crossed my mind when I bought mine, along with Ultra Magnus, in the 2 Pack from Target for $40... :o

Besides acquiring a wonderful bug that contained gastro for the past 72 hours. I got this guy the other day. Of course I can't remember what day it was.

*snip*

With complete paperworks and unapplied decals

And I know it's more of an action pose but. I couldn't stop them doing this. It took them all night to think it up.

*snip*

Skullcruncher is seriously mint I would rate him as 9.5/10. From the BS grading system I've seen some people grade stuff us he'd be an 11 :p

Oh man AP, congratulations on that divinely fresh looking Skullcruncher!:cool:
I love this guy, especially as I bought mine from a guy with the same name...:p, as I love Crocodilian TFs as well as the fact that he's a Headmaster although my own is missing his gun. :D

LOL, as soon as I saw that last photo I knew exactly what you were referencing :p:D, that shot also make me want to track down my own Mindwipe and Weirdwolf... Argh! :o

"Kōmori amamori oritatande WIPE!"

I promised KillinSpoon some pics

*snip*

Gillard-Tron?... :p:D

For my birthday I received a Decepticon badge for my car and a wallet embossed with 'Transformers Armada'.

Congratulations on the sweet B'day gifts dude! ;)

Received Universe 2.0 Ratchet from Zippo.

It's MISB (and very very pristine) and I don't really feel like opening it.

Ooh! A big congratulations there KS, a hard to track down figure indeed as I also have Zippo to thank for my own, vicariously through 1AZRAEL1 as I wasn't a member at the time :o, as for not opening it... Are you crazy man!?! :D

But most prized of all was the TFC Folder and Booklets 1-13 from jimoinj. Probably best buy this year.

*snip*

A very nice find and I'm also glad to see yet another happy customer of Jimoinj's, he's a top bloke/seller indeed eh? ;)

Thanks to Dante112011 for these very nice items:

*snip*

and hopefully Ill have a few more items to post during this month.

Ooh! Sweet! :eek::cool:
Very nice acquisition there Valkyrie, couldn't wait/not interested in the upcoming Reissue? ;):)

my targetmasters finally arrived from the UK.they look like they were just taken out of the box.

Aww man, bloody nice finds there man!
Are they all complete?

Found an Encore Metroplex at Mandrake, and a MP10 for ¥14000. Shame I got one from Joshin for ¥18000 already...:-(

Either way, big thanks to heroic decepticon for his Osaka TF map.

HD's efforts in his TF Hunting Maps (http://heroicdecepticon.blogspot.com/p/heroics-toy-shop-locator-guide.html) certainly seem to be helping quite a few people out, which is good as that'll please him greatly. ;)

Mark Ryan personalised photo from the recent Melbourne Armageddon. One of my work mates helps with the running of sci fi events and got it for me.

*snip*

Wow!, congrats man, that's pretty cool!

I had a couple of Takara goodies come in over the last couple of days :)

My Classicsverse needed some SEA-S.P. RAY Goodness.

*snip*

And tank/ Brick Megs.

*snip*

Hmm, I think I should've gone with my initial inclination and bought the Takara version of Seaspray after having seen these pics AP; I just couldn't turn up the Deluxe Price Point I paid for the Hasbro version I bought at the time though. :o

Ooh! you got Megastorm!
I'm in the market for him now, you'll see why at the bottom ;), so I'll have to see if Jimoinj still has his available for sale! :o

And this arrived today. LOVE HIM!!! My son keeps annoying me to open him so he can have a play. May have to get an Armarda version for him.

*snip*

Congratulations man, if you're interested; Odelay (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=10350) has an Armada Unicron for sale with a free Cybertron Unicron avaiable? - I can vouch greatly for Odelay too as I bought his Cyb Primus, Enr Omega Supreme and Arm Tidal Wave from him earlier this year. ;)

Today (FINALLY) After nearly 1 and half months of buying my Reprolabels order arrived :D

Holy crap, a month!?!
Mine have only ever taken 2-2.5 weeks at max, was it a massive order was it?

*snip*

You always know how to make me jealous Deceptic, and you do it in such a stunning way!:D

*snip*

$29 at Target.

Is that a Bare-Bones release like the DVD too Jena?

Quite the haul so far this month.

CA-03, CA-04 & Ca-05

MP-05, UN-06 & UN-09

Oh yeah, some damn nice acquisitions there dude! ;)
How are you finding the FP Insecticons and Masterpiece Megatron?

Last stand of the Wreckers from Target
and from Kmart Cyberverse Megatron blastwave set.

Wow!, I didn't think any copies of LSOTW were still floating around at Targets - Congratulations Defcon. ;):)

Also this:

*snip*

Yeah, couldn't resist. :D

Holy Crap TinyJazz! :eek::eek::eek:

Thanks to Verno ... Transmutate has arrived!!:D:D

Hazaa!, yet another proud owner of Transmutate and again courtesy of Verno! - Congratulations Liege, your show cast collection would be getting pretty close to complete now yeah?

At last, picked these up from the Post Office:

MISB Perceptor, MIB Rodimus Prime and MIB Hot Rod.

*snip*

Oh wow, those look to be in stunning condition Valkyrie, well done and congratulations mate!

My local Kmart is so crap, they don't even have the blu-ray.

Yeah, mine had a whole front aisle display of the DVD ($18 for those poor souls who still buy DVD :P )

It took me ages to find the Blu-Ray, it was pretty well hidden, not by people, by the way they'd stocked it.

They had a MASSIVE amount of...........TWO copies.

$18 for just the DVD, or $26 for the Blu-Ray, DVD, and a digital copy (yeah, digital copy is silly, but easy to use for your average person I guess).

I can't see why, even if you didn't own a Blu-Ray player, you wouldn't spend the extra $8 and get the extra two formats.

thanks... yep only Ravage remains I can settle for the Tripredacus agent ( black repaint of TM2 Cheetor if that would be cheaper as it is still Ravage, but if I get a chance for the X9 well why not, after him, it's complete showcast.:D

He also has different stickers too. Not a bad toy, just very brick-esque. I think that's the charm with him. I'd love a Classics repaint into that colour scheme.

That mold's biggest appeal was it's awesome electronics. I love G2 Megs for that alone as he is a brick ;)

Ah excellent, glad to hear man; I reckon you shouldn't settle for second best man, grab yourself an X9 so you've got the best of the best but also so I've got someone to share in my sorrows after forking out such a hefty sum for the figure when I get myself one. ;):p

Hehe, cheers man; As it stands, I'm going after the unique molds of both of the Japanese Beast Wars series and once I've made that milestone I'll look at starting to actually complete Neo and II - The vast majority of both lines though are comprised of repaints really, some good and some bad but it gives me a prolonged journey in collecting Beast Wars figures for a while yet. ;):D

I've got a couple great pieces to add to that collection ;)

Ooh! - I know of a set that you've got that I'll be after, but what else may lie ahead? ;)

I've always loved the molds that BB and Starscream use, the G2 Dreadwing & Smokescreen molds (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Dreadwing_%28G2%29), ever since I was a kid but these days I've found the original G2 iterations to be prohibitively expensive :(; The fact that the molds were reused in Beast Wars II and that a really good South Korean seller I'd dealt with before had the pair MISB for a bloody good price? :D, I just couldn't turn them down as I think the colours used on BB and Starscream work extremely well and with the little details, like the Predacon Insignia on Starscream's head crest and "For Starscream" written on BB's arms (He really is dedicated to Starscream huh? :p), I'd say definitely give them your consideration. ;)

More like BB is Starscream's beeotch. ;)
"Rogeeerrr!"

Also, the arm panels that say "For Starscrem" are located in the aft of the vehicle mode where Starscream docks with BB. So yeah, that's the meaning of those stickers. ;)

The unique moulds interest me more in those lines (I got most of them - just a few I still need). The repaints... meh. Some of them are identical to the Hasbro toys, but just with different names and are technically different characters. e.g. Apache is the same as B'Boom, Tasmania Kid is the same as Snarl etc. I have Apache, so I have intention of getting B'Boom, and I have Snarl so I have desire for Tasmania Kid. Even with the repaints I don't really have a burning desire to get them either. :/ I did get Randy earlier this year because it was a self-pity purchase after travelling halfway around Taipei TF hunting and not finding anything that day. And the toy broke on me as soon as I opened it... stupid gold plastic!! Just as well I already have Razorbeast. :p

They are indeed sweet sweet moulds. :) I got 3 different versions myself - G2 Dreadwing/Smokescreen, BWII BB/Starscream & RiD Dreadwind/Smokejumper. I skipped RM Gigant Bomb/Gigantsniper... 3 versions is probably enough. :p

Just such fun toys to play with... as the G2 commercial said, "His gatling gun is illin'!" :p :)

I just couldn't turn them down as I think the colours used on BB and Starscream work extremely well
The colours are actually based on an abandoned repaint of G2 Dreadwing/Smokscreen as G2 ATB Megatron/Starscream (http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/6/6d/G2toy_ATB_megs_and_screamer.jpg) (G2 got cancelled before these toys could be released). So I think it's cool how Takara let us have these previously aborted designs, but of course repurposed & redecoed as Predacons. Also neat how they even kept the Starscream name for the Smokescreen redeco, but obviously they couldn't use the name Megatron (since there was already another grape-faced Predacon using that name ;))

Yep, I totally share your favour of the unique molds; there is just so much variety with them and I like the return to the more organic Alt modes too.
The repaints I just find frustrating as some are just ugly, i.e. Powerhug, others are nigh exactly the same, i.e. Hydra and Lazorbeak, but some like Survive are welcomed additions. ;):)
(The fact though that they're all different characters to their US counterparts too doesn't help either :o)

Lucky bugger, but yeah that Baby Blue colour scheme immediately repulsed me but the 'Treadbolt' colour schemed version wasn't all too bad; they really are cool though eh?, so much playability with 3 different modes and a combining gimmick - Way Ahead (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Magmatron#Toys) of their time. :D:cool:

Yeah, I read that and found it to be quite interesting and I agree that it is quite cool that Takara managed to find a way to deliver ATB Megatron and Starscream what; 6 to 8 years later?, with only minor alterations like the Predacon details, names and the dropping of the Grey plastic - An honest must have for any collection in any of their iterations. ;):)
(Except for that fugly RiD: Sky Blue (http://www.transformertoys.co.uk/content.php?/transformers-toys/toy-gallery/1544/Robots+in+Disguise/Dreadwind.html) abortion )

Also got to meet/remeet Griffin last night (Sorry mate, it's been so damn long, I can't remember which it is), which was great again, and also means someone here should be able to share their newest acquisition, which is a nice TF piece that not many of us have.

It sounds even weirder after Starscream gets rebuilt as Hellscream (http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/e/ea/HellscreamMovie1.jpg); the "girly" voice just seems downright strange coming out of such a scary/monstrous looking Predacon!

I think there are some fan-subs (and even fan dubs) floating about; not sure if it covers every ep though. You're not missing out on much though, BWII is a pretty ordinary story and the animation quality is horrible ('cept for the move of course). BW Neo is also fairly lacklustre (although it has better animation) until the Unicron arc at the end... but it's not interesting enough to sit through the banal repetition of the rest of the series. (>_>)

BB with Starscrem was actually my first BW toy if I think about it.... though technically not beasts, they are of the line:p... it was a choice between them and Lio Convoy ( who I couldve bought as well but I wasnt into beast modes at those times - see regret thread) - got my BB for 600 pesos only and I thought it was an awesome bargain for 2 bot who combine and is ultraposeable:D plus I love the color scheme, the way the two figures combine and dock and the missle firing action - oooh tons of missles as well! Now that I think about it, this was my very first Starscream as well:p in a way until I got the Takara booktype one.

Well, since the Transformers Pickings have been slim I caved and went to K-mart during their sale (Getting my first Myer paycheck also helped) Abnd picked up Leader Class DOTM Ironhide,HA Backfire with Spike Witwicky, HA Sandstorm with Private Dedcliff, HA thunderhead with Major Tungsten and HA Icepick with Sergeant Chaos (How did he pass a military entrance exam, his last name is CHAOS!!?). All neat figures (especially at Ten bucks for the Human Alliance guys!) Ironhide is on the same coolness level as Battle Ops Bumblebee and almost seems to be from that same sort of Autobot Alliance era of sculpting, gimmicks and large scale fun. He also looks really cool holding Back Fire as a Handgun, and along with Sandstorm as a shoulder mounted Rocket Launcher Ironhide serves as "Field Commander" For my Human Alliance Toys.

Now that is an impressive acquisition, thanks for posting up pics as I had never seen these sets before. Any idea if there are noticeable differences between the Japanese and European releases? I only note the weapon/missile sprues.

From what I understand, there is no difference between the European and Japanese versions.

Super sexy Vector Prime, as always.

Don't know if this really counts as an acqusition, but she is nummy.

Technically October, but here'll do, I've been lucky enough to be dating the lovely 'Arcee' off the board. Better than all my collection, but don't tell her that. ;)

Also got to meet/remeet Griffin last night (Sorry mate, it's been so damn long, I can't remember which it is), which was great again, and also means someone here should be able to share their newest acquisition, which is a nice TF piece that not many of us have.
...can't say how thankful I am that this is not the regret thread...

Ooh! - Very nice finds there Valkyrie :D, it is interesting that these versions come with the missiles on sprues; so the European version didn't have theirs on sprues did they?

Super sexy Vector Prime, as always.

Cheers Arcee, indeed; much like his real life counterpart, Vector Prime does look quite sharp huh? :D
I must say, I do prefer the extra paint apps on this version but I think I would've preferred the white base paint of the Hasbro version to the Takara's Grey, but again the extra paint apps make up for that. ;)

Hi Aqua. I would be selling it but I really need $120 for it or something equivalent, I know I probably done my money on it. I was going to swap the pink bits for black bits from a metroplex if I don't get rid of it.

Overlord has definitely made me smile the most out of all the things I've bought, But I'm giving him to myself for Christmas so I'm not getting it out of the box till then.

I did sell that chest piece unfortunately. I just got that other parts lot pictured, if you wanted anything or recognize anything. I just bought it for the diaclone magnus head (I think)

Hell yeah man :D, Marbles was another one that I had as a kid but had lost it to time so it's great to have him back, Whirl was a completely unexpected find as was the price and I too dig the Flying-Wing/Stealth Bomber too, one of the more unique Micromaster Aircraft IMO.

Hehe, I've absolutely no idea as to the Japanese origins of the toys themselves so whether they were all designed with each other in mind or that each successive figure was developed after the other and retro-engineered? - Buggered if I know, lol :D, but all I know is that it was incredibly cool when I was a kid and I wanted the lot but could never afford them and as for big? - You're not bloody wrong man as they're a pain to try and store away when you've also got to stick them with the Thunder Megazord and Panosh Voltron. :p

There was a Universe repaint of Optimus Primal (original gorilla mode) - it was a kinda browny colour instead of black.

And as previously posted there were a couple of Beast Machines Optimus Primals - the thread in the sightings forum has more detail.

Other than that there were a couple of "role play" Armada star sabres, plus an assortment ofaction figures (including the Shadow's motor bike!)

Quite possibly, now I don't mean to alarm anyone, but, I think I have my aquisition of the year right here.

Which is difficult to say since RTS and United Jazz were released this year.

No it's not. An awesome find like that trumps any mainstream release, no matter how good it is. Nice work there :).

G1 Scorponok is the only G1 figure that I have any intention to complete to this level (Beyond Soundwave :p) as I just simply adore this figure, but I have a number of people to thank for this milestone/achievement because without them this wouldn't have been possible:

1AZRAEL1 @ OTCA (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/member.php?u=268) - Scorponok, Fasttrack's x2 Guns, x2 Ramps, x2 Leg Guards, Rifle (+ Shield), Claw Maintenance Arm, Lord Zarak and Box (+ Foam Insert).
Dante112011 @ OTCA (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/member.php?u=1612) - Laser Maintenance Arm, Radar #1 and Radar #2.
Skullcruncher @ OTCA (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/member.php?u=920) - Scorponok Instructions Booklet.
Sky_Shadow @ OTCA (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/member.php?u=90) - Imparted invaluable knowledge as to what Paperwork was included with Scorponok.
Dave @ BigIslandToys (http://www.bigislandtoys.com/) - Techspec Reader, '86 Transformers Toy Catalogue and the "Have the Decepticons Defeated us once and for all?" Mail-away Order Form.
Aaron @ Reprolabels (http://www.reprolabels.com/main.php) - Reproduction G1 Scorponok Sticker Sheet.
Mark @ Blast From The Past Vintage Toys (eBay UK Store (http://myworld.ebay.com.au/markb3011/)) - Tower/Shield, Radar #3, Radar #4 and Fasttrack's Right Arm.
Dave @ eBay UK (http://myworld.ebay.com.au/galactus2010/) - Fasttrack, Fasttrack's Left Arm and x3 Dual-Barrel Cannons.

To everyone listed above, a huge-HUGE thank you goes out to you for making me an extremely happy G1 Collector and an Infinitely happy G1 Scorponok Owner; your efforts, time, endeavours and services are forever appreciated. ;)

Thanks for concern dude, I wasn't aware of that. Although I wouldn't expect bbts to sell a repro and not make clear that was the case. I trust pgt's honesty and I often rely on thehandsomecrab's advice when buying expensive TF . If that was something I'd need to be concerned about, I'm sure he would have brought it up when he sent me the link.

Besides, the thing came in cardboard folder in a box of packing peanuts. That's a lot of effort to swindle me with a repro. :/

JMO---> That seems like a lot to pay for repainted reissues that were commonly available at retail! (I got Buckethead and Bonecrusher at Coles -- can't remember how much I paid, but it wasn't much) Gee, if a regular retail set like this is fetching $99.25, I wonder how much the limited chase Destron Sixbuilder (http://www.tfu.info/2003/Destron/SixBuilder/sixbuilder.htm) (or "Devil Builder" as he's called in the Gokiverse ;)) would go for! I only managed to get the limbs for Destron Sixbuilder, so when Micromaster Constructicon Devastator came out here, I grabbed Buckethead and Bonecrusher from Coles so I could make the gestalt, albeit a Hasbro-Takara hybrid. :p
