I ran across an amazing article which showed photos and artwork from Takara archives, for colouring of released transformers in some pre-tf exotic colors.

I'm hoping to recreate the original red-blue Seaspray, and white winged Thrust. What I need is to find someone who takes commissions and repaints, to a sufficent quality level that casual transformation and display won't damage them. I have zero artistic talent myself, and wouldn't know whether to paint or dye them.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, for an affordable price?

Anyone curious, by the way, see this amazing article

Awesome. I've been lookin for an article like this . I was wondering about the solid wing origin.
I like the red beachcomber and seaspray. The cosmos and powerglide are very similar to the ehobby release. For the cost of the set, they could've done all the minibots. maybe they could do a second one with seaspray cliffjumper etc.??
As for your custom. I reckon you should have a shot yourself, That thrust jus looks like a t/cracker body. The wings, according the article should come apart, I'd paint each bit individually with a spray can (sand em and prime em first and check the paint won't melt the plastic) Not to thick on the pins or allow for it when sanding. Most peaps in hobby shops should be able to help. just take a wing with you and your pic to help match a colour

The dirge looks even easier. (skywarp with red dirge wings)
Might even do that one myself. (although it doesn't look as good as the thrust):)

Looking at that article, I really wish they'd stuck with the longer wing designs- they look a little more realistic and like the design was actually nailed with the initial designs.

I agree. They're always too worried about kids and their eyeballs. Maybe they could've kept the wings the same and issued some tf safety glasses.

Those antex minbots are cool (I bought some a while back) but I've just never seen any variations of seaspray or beachcomber ,for sale at least.

p.s. I just won a cheap thrust , so as soon as he gets here, he's gonna get pulled apart.
