It's actually been in the works for about 10 years, and is still some way off from being published, but for fans of the 80s & 90s GiJoe, the updates of the project on this site (http://arealamericanbook.wordpress.com/) makes for interesting reading.
A fansite recently did an audio interview with Tim Finn (the person behind the project), which can be heard here (http://flagpoints.podbean.com/2011/10/28/flag-points-10-part-1/).
Hopefully it all goes ahead as planned, and that he gets a publisher on board that sees the value of the GIJoe brand to fans new (with the new movies) and old.
