Posted on November 17:

Just finished all the pencil art for Transformers #81. So strange to be doing this stuff again and to pick up from the old Marvel stuff. So it’s 20 years since issue 80 but actually it was just like old times and I got these 22 pages done in 15 days. Not bad eh? couldn’t have done that 20 years ago. And they say you slow down when you get older. PAH!!! ;-)

Oops, got the topic wrong, I meant #81 not #82. Mods please fix. Thanks.

Still not sure what to make of it. They say they want to acknowledge G2 yet at the same time not touch on it. How does that work- does it slot in before G2 or after it? If they don't touch on it then how many elements will and wont be touched on?

This could go either way- personally I'm hoping for brilliance, but time will tell I guess.

22 pages in 15 days... thats a good speed.
And the best part is no Yomtov colours! :D

It'll be very interesting to see where they choose to slot this in the G1-G2 timeline, and where it goes (and for how many issues...)

If it were anyone other than Wildman, I wouldn't be interested. It's the excuse I was looking for to get back into comics.

I may have missed it, but is there an approximate street date for release?

I'm hoping it's going to be like when the original cast and creator came together to make Star Trek The Motion Picture.

I'm hoping it's going to be like when George Lucas came back to make Star Wars Episode 1.

I'm hoping it's going to be as good as Chris Claremont's return to X-Men with #100.

I'm hoping it's going to be as good as Frank Miller's sequel to Dark Knight Returns.

You know I might just have "no hopes" and just wait and buy it when it comes out. :)

Looks like I'm going to have to have the Ambos on standby at the next Parra Fair... :o

I am pessimistic about this, they've done the same thing with the Gi Joe comic after all. And it goes up and down.

Hopefully it will be pretty cool, but it will never recapture the magic of the first comic.
