At the TFW2005 site, the soon-to-be released Wheeljack toy (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/494504-hand-images-dotm-wheel-jack-hes-awesome.html).

Because this is a deluxe it lacks the head-sculpt detailing of a larger toy which in turn makes this one of the ugliest toys from the line (and that's saying something when you include the twins from ROTF).

Fortunately for me I've lost all interest in Bay-bots so this is an easy 'pass'.

I agree, I thought the DOTM Soundwaves were bad...:p
I think Soundwave did the right thing in the movie with this guy though. :D

Wow.

Guess this is the last mercedes we will be officially given considering how ugly it manages to be in both modes. Alt mode is just paneliscious and the robot mode looks like a terminator did the nasty with skeletor.

As DOTM deluxes go I don't think it's that terrible, but the head... that is horrible.

I would prefer to get the later "white" repaint with the "g1"-like head... then I remember that between Generations and Prime (deluxe and legion) Wheeljacks, we've got more than enough Wheeljack's at the moment.

I don't think that bad, except for the HEAD!!!!!!!

there's a face only a motherunit could love. He should take a leaf from Meg's book and wear a poncho.

I can still think of at least 4 movie-verse heads that are far worse than this though
(Skids, Mudflap, Wheelie, Laserbeak).

I prefer Wheelie, but the other three were less promising toys all over, where as this guy to me has potential, cept for the head. ;)

The pics have been taken down, but knowing what it looked like in the movie, I guess ugly looking bot ( looks like someones face got skinned alive) would logically translate to an ugly headed figure :p. good thing Im not buying it.

They're still there? If not, Seibertron has them mirrored here (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/transformers-dotm-deluxe-wheeljack-que-inhand-images/23259/).

It's not directly Hasbro's fault that the head looks so fugly. Blame Paramount/Dreamworks for designing the Que character like that in the film -- HasTak are just going for screen likeness.

Having said that, I think it is indirectly Hasbro's fault for approving that head design from Paramount. Hasbro could have said, "No, that's ugly. Change it." -- everything related to Transformers has to get approved by Hasbro, right? So what was Archer thinking when Paramount submitted this design for his stamp of approval?

"A robot that looks like a slack-jawed buck-toothed hill-billy Einstein?! Genius!" *stamps*

Still you have to love the poetic irony (considering what it's meant to be a homage to) that Wheeljack's movie name when treated as a Spanish word sums up the polite way to describe the thought process of the head designers.

I am totally opposed to ALL robots with hair!! That is the worst idea ever! (unless the hair looks robotic)

Actually Que's headlooks like the logo from Metal Mulisha!

Seriously though, in the movie Que had blue hair! No attempt to replica that!

I actually think the head looks neat. Yes, it's ugly, but ugly is sometimes a good thing (Yes, I'm an ugly person myself so sod off if you're thinking that :D)

I'm also getting it just to complete my movie cast of toys, just hoping we'll eventually get our hands on a proper Deluxe Crowbar and an actual Dino figure.

I actually think having a lack of blue hair is an improvement! Wasn't a fan of Quejack's blue hair in the moofie... (are they trying to make him look like an anime character??)

I was about to say that it's probably due to budget reasons that they hair isn't blue... but I can't see any reason why they couldn't have moulded the hair off the same sprue as the other light blue parts that they used for the shoulders, thighs and shins. Hasbro's inattention to detail strikes again. :(
