Cheers man, believe it or not I actually despised this version when it was in stores as it was such a heavy departure from the original (The Armada version be far closer to that of G1) but after Mknell bought one from a Parra Fair last year and the Sydney Metal Head members dubbed him "Black Metal (http://mapofmetal.com/#/home)" Unicron; I saw this version in a completely different light! :D
(Now all I need is a spare TF:A Soundwave Laserbeak for him :cool:)

You know dude, I thought the very same thing when I 1st got my Armada Unicron but Officially (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/toys/armada/unicron/163/2/80/) that is the correct transformation. :o:confused:
You can't actually rotate the foot without dismantling the lower leg assembly either, I'm of the opinion that they're like that purely due to the back-heavy-ness of him with all his gear on. ;)

It's widely considered to be a foul up. Freak mistakes don't tend to appreciate much in the aftermarket because there's so little demand for them. Some people like to collect them for the sheer novelty, but yeah... beyond that in terms of monetary value they're not really worth collecting.

I mean, how many collectors actively hunt down for an original 1984 G1 Optimus Prime with two left fists? ;p

Telemocha Primal! I've long wanted this figure so I'm happy to finally have one. A great rendition of one of my favourite commanders. The only imperfection here is that he came with two right hand swords.

I also got a Classics Bumblebee. Another quite nice figure. My main comment though is that he's very tricky to get a satisfying pose out of.

I'm getting $75 for Priority and $86 for Express when I put the weight in at 10lbs so I should be ok. That said, it came it at over $100 under what I'd allowed for the auction (I was allowing just over $400 shipped) so there's room to move there.

EDIT: It's probably also worth adding that alot of that $65 is Aust Post rorting in action. Once I sent a few BW sealed figures from the Central Coast (so Sydney) to Rockhampton and it cost about as much as it would have cost to sendto the US.

A complete Fort Max is about 14-15lbs you then need to factor in the size as it comes under large packages I think, 24" x 12" x 12". The box may come out smaller than what I have said but not much with protective padding.

Vintage 1986 Large Transformer. Stands about 2 feet tall, this transformer would be good for parts or pieces. Looks in pretty good condition, missing some parts though. I am a girl who never played with transformers, so I am not sure what this thing does but the arms legs and feet move, then the back side has wheels, so maybe it turns into a truck or something. I have no clue how to do it. There are accessories on it like the gun and something in the hand, but it is missing parts too and has no head. Please see photos and click to enlarge. I'd be happy to answer any questions, so just shoot me a message if you need something answered and I will do my best. Selling this item as is for parts. I've never seen such a large transformer, so should be fun for someone! It is marked 1986 Hasbro. Thanks for looking. Actually I've spoken to the seller both by email and over the phone- the only things missing from the actual body are the ramps, and 1 leg gun (forgot to ask about spike's cockpit but it looks like that may be missing from the photos). All the other panels and guns that are a part of the body are there (everything else you mentioned is accessories, with cog sans gun being fairly cheap to get hold of). From the cheap fort Max bodies on eBay atm, this was the pick of the bunch :).

Got some Prime goodies thanks to Nyerk.

Impressed by all of them bar Bumblebee, who has massive flipper feet and a wobbly chest everytime I move him. Oh and gorilla arms. Optimus loses a point for his wobbly sword, that when on his hand is upside down but as a bayonet quite nice (guess which wasn't in the cartoon...).

Arcee is good, let down by a bit of kipple on her shoulders and Starscream is pure awesome in plastic form!

Today's acquisitions: a second-hand 400% Synchronization Eva 01. Complete but of course who wants to buy used stuff in Japan, especially from the old Eva series? Gaijin on a splurge of course.:D ¥3500 from Mandrake, about a third of the unopened one in Capsule G.
Next crazy score was an unopened black Movie Arcee. ¥2500 odd, or about $33.:D :D
Then the bargains kinda stopped, and while getting an Encore Devastator from Hero Gangu for my best friend in Oz I picked up a PE not-Reflector set for ¥8800.:o Hope the little guys are worth it.

Buggered if I know, like most Nihongo that's one I haven't come across yet.:o

Irritatingly I just opened not-Reflector up and they're the Night Ops version. The box has a tiny little sticker saying so on the back, as opposed to the standard rest of the box. Maybe I should have looked closer, instead of just assuming that having the Night Ops box set right next to it meant I could get the more G1-style ones in the normal box.
They still look pretty cool and it's not enough for me to try to return them or sell/trade them back for something else, but even if the dark ones are supposed to be all exclusive-y I would have preferred the standard purple ones.:(

As promised, here's my Japan haul for the year. 2 shots of the whole lot and one of the Japan exclusives it's easy to get when you're actually in Japan.

EDIT - the collection is as follows: MP10 Optimus Prime, Encore Omega Supreme, Encore Metroplex, JP Armada Shockwave/Tidal Wave (+ Sea Minicon team coloured to match him), Black Arcee, TM Rattrap, TM Optimus Primal, BW B'Boom/Apache, BW Optimus Minor, Takara Animated Ratchet, Takara Animated Lockdown, Takara Animated Blackout, still-unopened Cybertron Primus, still-unopened PE Scouting Force X Night Ops version, HA Sandstorm, HA Tailpipe, BW Tigatron, BW Scuba, Legends Flak, and Commander Guzzle.
The Non-TF image shows the Good Smile Tachikoma (so freaking awesome), the 3 Evangelion Misato Katsuragi statuettes (what can I say, Misato's pretty much my dream girl :o ), and the 400% Synch Rate Evangelion Unit 01.

I need to get more of that stuff, in the absence of decent Aussie beer over here (Fosters and VB only, bleurgh) and with the horrible cost of cheese and fruit (not that I'm a big fruit fan) it's hard to get a taste of home. You can get the tiny jars but they're crazy pricey and available at import stores only.:(

Anyway, picked up a Leader Class Animated Ironhide Bulkhead while it was on clearance at Toys R Us.

Yeah, I grabbed one earlier this year when I was in Taipei. :) It's a neat figure if you can get it for cheap. Punching gimmick is lame IMO.

So I headed down to Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara this morning to take part in the TF Prime figure launch. Voyager Bulkheads were moving FAST and I managed to secure the last one on the shelf. One woman in front of me at the registers had 8 Bulkheads and 8 Vehicons, so people definitely know what's in demand overseas. For spending over 3000yen, I was given the store exclusive minicon Blowpipe.

I jumped on the JR Yamanote line and headed for Ikebukuro faster than a stereotypical black guy trying to reunite his tastebuds with a grape soda. I HAD to make it to BIC Camera to score their exclusive minicon Aimless. I knew chances were slim, since United Fracas was gone within the hour last time there was a similar promotion. I swiped a Voyager Optimus off the shelf, joined the long line of patrons and awaited my turn. Thankfully, once I arrived at the register the attendant disappeared out the back and returned with Aimless.

The stroll to my next destination, Toys R Us at Sunshine City, Ikebukuro, was a long one and more of a power walk or a semi-jog. I managed to arrive just 1 hour and 15 minutes after the store opened to try and get minicon Peaceman (Peacemaker). The store was comparatively quiet, a good sign indeed. I found the (small) Transformers section and grabbed the last Cliffjumper and a Bumblebee for my fiance to make up the 3000yen minimum. When I got to the register and the girl scanned the items, I waited for her to disappear like the other attendants to get me my minicon, but it didn't happen. :( In my rubbish Nihongo, I asked if there was a bonus, and from what I could gather she said something along the lines of them being sold out.

So that brings my story to a close, I just felt like I had to ramble :D 2 out of 3 store exclusives was pretty good though, right? :)
