Released to SpikeTV's website, but since they seem to be blocking access to Australian IPs, check the Youtube copy here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4rRTceEH00).
Music is a bit weird, as I would have expected something a little bit more fast-paced for an action game.
The teaser trailer (of this game that is still 12 months from release) mostly shows us characters from the first game (which is easier for the animators), but we get our first look at Bruticus combining, and more of Grimlock.
I couldn't see anyone else new though.

that certainly was a tease, looking real good and quite liked the music

I didn't like the music. I don't think the hippy music works for Transformers - Bad call IMO, at first I thought there was a mistake and this was a fan made video.
It hurts the enjoyment of an otherwise awesome trailer as it feels out of place but I do like what I have seen. However the faces are not as good as before.

I think the music is an odd choice too. I understand they'd use a slower track for the slow-mo, feel but I'd still expect something more tecno than a rock ballad.
It doesn't really tell us much about the game tho.

It would have been better if there were no voice lyrics.

The slower music allows them to pad out a 20 second clip of mostly recycled animation models (characters & setting), into a minute. A bit of a letdown, considering the recent build up of hype, but realistically it is only meant to be a teaser, as it is still 12 months away from release.

I like the music, I think it goes well with the clip overall. Thumbs up.

I have to agree with Paulbot on the music. As much as I am not a fan of that kind of music, I think it brings out a certain calmness to a fast paced action, almost as if the Autobots are lamenting the fall of Cybertron. That's the best way I can describe it for now lol.

People here aren't familiar with the Gears of War trailers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ggrWLhuif4) I guess. "Hey, it worked for them!"

Mimicking others is not a good way to make a game stand out on it's own.
I hope this was as Griffin said, too early or rushed otherwise it's pretty tacky to me. The original WFC trailers were much better.

The stare down and nod between grimlock and prime teased that their relationship will be similar to how it was in G1. Starscream getting smacked in the mouth by ironhide when he was sneaking up on prime and bumblebee was great I think it sums up their characters in that scene. Seeing grimlock transform and bruticus combine was great and I've been looking forward to it since I read that they are in the game.
I think the teaser was good and I'm looking forward to the game I can't wait.

Anyone check out the full trailer?! It's amazing!
Grimlock is very impressive and Megatron is looking a lot more TF:Prime. Bruticus transformation is different than I expected, was thinking it'd be more Bayverse.
Watched it a second time and realized jazz is point blank shooting Soundwave. Please tell me he didn't just kill him before the game even starts. Although I know he can't die here as he's in TF:Prime and (apparently) they are the same universe.
Anyone else notice anything of interest?

That was pretty damn shmick! Very effective use with the music as well!!:D

Watch it and enjoy. Most excited now, although raises some questions in my mind, which I will save for later.

Don't save it 'til later! I wanna hear what everyone thinks. That song is stuck in my head majorly. You could cut the tension between Optimus and Grimlock with a giant energon sword.

I still think Optimus' bulkier look is stupid. He should quit the Autobots and get a job as a Santa. lol.
I like the detail they put into the trailer but so far im not as impressed as i was with the oiginal wfc trailers.

I always loved these trailers, they're what the movies should have been. I'm not a gamer but that just looks sweet! Ruination and the Dinobots! Woo!

Thats what I thought too! On GOW and their heads.:D
I thought the music worked quite well and conveying the feeling of a war that shouldn't have happened. It feels to me that Prime is regretting the fact that the war went this way and has cost lives (BB & SW). I assume Soundwave will get a new mode, oh and maybe become Sound Blaster?
Teased me nicely and looking excited for it's release, but not as much as WFC since they took out co-op campaign mode.

Oh wow. In the spirit of Gears of War trailers, the music works so damn well. Grimlock looks great but was really expecting Prime to turn his head and pave the way for Superion :(
Big fan of awesome trailers. This is one of em! Such a pity it won't be released on PC

Ha ha! Maybe they are leading on to Combining Dinobots?:D Afte all, despite the fact that Grimlcok IS awesome, it is a bit unfair for Grimbo Vs Bruticus. Although I suspect Grimbo probably could take down Bruticus by himself:p
Just out of curiosity's sake, is there any record of 1 TF taking down any gestalt(ed) team?

I really dig the trailer and the music fits, not as rock as you might expect but at the same time the words are quite fitting.
the combination sequence is rather epic!

Game spoiler (maybe ;)) Bruticus has a weak spot on his back. Three circles if I recall correctly. Hit it with your weapon fire and he will fall apart. Well that's how it worked in the cartoon. :)
Megatron defeated Predaking by himself in the Marvel comics (#25). Blaster, with some kids to distract/assist, defeated Bruticus by himself in the Marvel comics (#35).

Hell yeh man. Slag v Devastator. Transformers the Movie 86` :p That's the only one that comes to mind, but I'm sure there's equally awesome 1 v gestalt take downs on the record

:confused:If I remember rightly one of the big showdowns early in G1 cartoons was the Dinbots against Devestator so why not Bruticus instead ;):)

+1 for liking the music as well. I think it sets the tone nicely. I will admit though that when I first saw it the other day, I thought it may have been a fan-made trailer.
If this was a movie, I would so go and see it  Bruticus and Grimlock FTW!

Funny how my friend told me about Pucifer (band that sings this song) and that I should listen to them because we were mutual fans of Maynard James Keen, the lead singer of Tool who also is the lead for this group.
I totally forgot about checking out Pucifer, and thanks to this FOC trailer I finally got to. And it ain't so hippy as others have said it to be.
I think the music kind of fits, though it's somewhat an emotional song it adds onto the element of giving our beloved Transformers what most Bay-haters have been complaining about - heart. You could argue that case for Linkin Park in the Bay-movies but for Bay's characters it just didn't feel right then as much as it does now. Not every TF related video needs to be blasted with The Touch or the G1 theme, and I reckon those pieces should be kept with the material of their generation, where they were at their prime.
I think it's kind of clever how this trailer was put together, they could have easily resorted to using Heavy Metal music to emphasis hardcore-metal-slamming or even epic orchestral music to depict the magnitude of the situation Cybertron is in but instead they used this chilling, yet humbling piece of music to accompany footage of Transformers at war. It's different for sure and it's a change that I personally like :)

Heck yes!
I liked the music. It's nothing I'd have on my ipod but I think it gave a good feel to the trailer, kind of 'this is the sad aftermath of our brutal war'.
Prime's new body is growing on me but I still like his WFC body better. I have no idea what happened to his face though . It's too wide and flat, he looks like he was hit with a shovel.

The original WFC trailer didn't have any G1 music theme but to me, it worked much better than this one. I found the tone of that trailer much more exciting while this one seem somewhat 'meh'.

Awesome! Great to see some more visuals, and wow, shooting someone point blank? That wasn't very nice Jazz. :D
People I never would have expected to get excited by this are posting the trailer on fb, also awesome.
My initial thoughts were odd choice of music, not the pacing but just that particular song. I think I'll watch it a few more times before I make up my mind about that though.
Also I wouldn't say that FOC is copying GOW, using slower paced music in contrast to violent or action filled visuals is actually a common cinematic technique. I think it even has a name? But I forget, I only had to explain it in an exam once.

I dig this trailer heavily! :D
The visuals are just awesome, though Soundwave copping it again annoys me to no end but at least it was BB this time.:p
The sounds were sweet and really show the consistency with WFC (i.e. listen to Bruticus' formation). ;):)
The musical score was spot on, though I care little for Maynard and Despise Tool, I think this song choice was brilliantly employed as it carries the soul and feeling of the trailer superbly - Bloody well done High Moon.
LOL at BB's rosy cheeks! :p:D
