I haven't opened mine yet, so I can't really comment about this toy until I have. :)

Same issues as with Wreck-Gar, ie short leg on one side as knee doesn't straighten. Colours look relatively symmetrical when compared to the others in robot mode, but they are ugly enough to not be too nice. I had typed a heap more, but IE crashed and lost what I had, so feeling a little annoyed and less inclinced to retype it all. Summarised version on the way.

Nice greys that look less like hasbro grey and closer to metal colour.

Great, easy to activate light piping in his eyes. On mine there is a gap between the face and eyes, so I took it apart to see if I could tighten it up a bit better. Turns out I can't. Did come across what looks like a new head attachment practice, with the front and back halves clamping over a 'mount' piece that is clipped onto the ball joint via a socket. This is unlike Wreck-gar, where the front and back halves just clamp straight onto the ball.

Turns out that Scrapheap (e-hobby exclusive version) uses this too. In fact, Junkheap uses the same eye mould as Scrapheap, he just has a newly moulded face. Interesting bit of cost-saving trickiness there.

To be honest I don't mind the little gap as it looks like he wears sunnies, which suits his somewhat porno-moustache rather well.

Not a bad toy, but I knew that from Wreck-Gar. Lots of character in his face and he definitely looks like a junkion! Having said that, there are no improvements over Wreck-Gar. I would have liked to see an option to be able to use the wheel attached to his arm as a secured sheild, but it's still not able to.

So get one if you a) Don't have Wreck-Gar, b)Building some Junkion warrior group, c) Love his face.

Otherwise he is fairly skippable.

Some pics of his head.

his eyes minus face.

Lookng from the rear, to the back of his face (Minus eye plastic), the neck attachemt is the yellow piece.

Neck attachment lookng forwards, straight on.

I found this facinating as I haven't seen this before in a TF. Usually the head just connects straight on the ball joint.

There is one most excellent reason to buy this figure - he and Wreck-Gar are designed so they can ride each other! A little bit of plastic coming down from the crotch plugs into the motorcycle seat of the other. It's what we all wish the original Wreck-Gar toy could do but you could never get it to work because of the lack of knee's (and I have 2 G1 Wreck-Gars - trust me, I've tried).

Totally worth getting for this gimmick alone in my opinion :D

I got one. Took it to pieces and then mix and match with Wreck-Gar parts to add variety to my army build Junkions. Even more variation with add-on kits.

That sounds very interesting. Have you got any pics?

I've got several Junkheaps but never got around to opening them all or chasing down all the third party add-ons to army-build. I recall the latest one out being one of the best value for money (despite still costing as much as an off-the-shelf Voyager), and the all the parts integrate into vehicle mode as well.
