Hi guys just wondering if someone can take some close up photos of Optimal Optimus's arm shields, inside and out, possibly with measurements. i bought one second hand a few years ago but it didn't come with them so I was going to attempt to make a set out of styrene but need more info other than photos of them on the toy...

Although i strongly recommend holding out for these actual parts for sale,here are pictures of the blast shields for beast wars Optimal Optimus;
the blast shields can be broken down into these molds-left and right middle
the blast shields front and back..Good luck with your project!! :)

Thanks for the pics. You've been a great help. I didn't know they where separate pieces:(:(...I always thought that they where a one piece. As I never had then originally, I would never known they came in 3 pieces:eek::eek:.....But I am undeterred with this new development and still attempt it,:D:D:D:D Maybe as a one piece section, I will probably just leave them on his arm anyways....

Photos to come later when I finally get the sheets to make then.

Glad to help!
the two side blast shield pieces connect to the center blast shield piece and onto each forearm with a spring loaded connector so they fire off
OR by round tabs on the two side blast shield pieces to the top of his shoulders(either are used in the show)
Looking forward to seeing some pics of this project!!

I have contacted them, just waiting on a response, but I've seen the exorbitant price some of those US seller charge for shipping and I cant justify that amount for one piece of plastic and its not the complete set, I would buy it if was all 6 pieces, but its quite hard to find all 6 bit in one sale at one time...anyway I like a challange:p:p:p:p

The response I got...

Dear tabias_prime,

hi there & thank you for your interest in me & my lot here,
i just have to let you know ahead of time that i do live in thornhill ontario canada not new york
state even though this auction shows my american address if you look at some of my more expensive auctions like any of my AFA stuff it will show my actual address & the actual shipping costs from canada.
but some of the smaller stuff like accessories i try to ship out from buffalo new york which is where my storage locker that i have been using for the last year is, the reason that i am, mentioning this to you is i will ship to you but the cost that you pay on the invoice i will send you & the cost on the actual package will not be the same i try to make a little bit of money on the shipping to cover my time i drive 2 hours each way to the united states & i usually lose a entire day & a tank of gas so my shipping quotes reflect some of those expenses please don't worry if the actual shipping is like $5 i won't charge you $30 i usually make about $6-$7 ontop of the actual shipping costs to cover my time & $50 tank of gas so if you are o.k with that than yes i will ship to you.
oh almost forgot the shipping will be to you $10 if its less i will refund you the money when i get back to canada .

thanks for your time.
take care russ
