The Cyberverse toys are looking verrry nice. :) The Legends actually get removable weapons, how cool is that!!
I'm interested to see how the light effects Prime turns out, although it looks like the deluxe mold to me rather than the voyager (as it's described in the article)?

I too am intriguied by the lighty Prime Prime.
It does look somehwta deluxey. the smokestacks are certainly different to the voyager Prime. But surely they couldn't fit too much in the way of electronics into the deluxe? Completely new mould voyager perhaps?
It looks about right for the voyager when comparing the shoulder size to a hand...

comment made by user on the seirbertron site, pointed out that the prototype light vehicle mode is of the dotm prime voyager, not the transformers prime voyager which is quite strange.

Vehicle mode looks like it could be. Photoshopping effects? The robot mode however has Primeesque shoulders and more g1 looking head. the thighs are also Prime looking too. Add to that the smaller feet and shins, DOTM had fat ugly legs...
However, I haven't seen much of DOTM voyager Prime so I cant really compare.
Still looking forward to seeing more on this one!

I'm glad they're doing decent versions of all the characters in legends scale. I like the show, but don't really feel like spending $200 - $300 collecting the full roster. Much easier to collect a drone army this way too.
Don't like lolly-plastic weapons but that's fixed easily enough.

Where are my Prime toys?, when are you going to get my Prime toys? and so on... ;)
I really hope we see some decent wave rotation over here for this line, I really like where TF: Prime is going figure-wise and I'd like to avoid having to go online if I can as Layby's are an Anubis-send. ;)

Man, those case assortments again suck!
So many Bumblebee, and Wave 2 Deluxes being really a Wave 1.5 similar to the Movie 2007 Wave 2 line ..
My need for plastic crack has me really liking this news.
I just need a job so I can actually purchase these fine items.

Haha, when I win OZ Lotto? :p They can't come out soon enough eh? So are you gonna go 100% Hasbro on this line do you reckon Hursti or are you gonna pick and match as you go (what I plan to do, those Takara voyagers are too delectable to pass up!)?

It'll probably be the same as ever. I liken Transformers collecting in Australia to fishing. You patiently sit there for ages waiting for something to bite but more often than not you keep catching that annoying toadfish of which there are thousands and it seems like that's all there is. Then, one day you snag a beauty! You catch another, and another - you're on a roll now! Then, the endless hordes of toadfish return...And the waiting for something good again resumes. :p

Yeah mate, I believe the voyagers are equally annoying - 3 Primes to 1 Bulky so get your Bulky on fast bots!

Non, no they can't but as for which figures I'm going to get... Likely they'll be predominantly Hasbro but if there is a real stand-out Takara release then I'll certainly consider it; That option is always left open for Soundwave mind you. ;):p

Wow.
Good to see the UK getting stuff before the Americans, but man the reactions by some Americans because they dont have the new items first is so wrong.
Instant reaction to the new Prime Voyager -- give me the FE or Takara Tomy Voyager please, while I will have to patiently wait for someone to get both the FE/Takara Cliffjumper next to the RiD Cliffjumper so I can make up my mind.

Looks nice eh! Unfortunately, if one UK Megatron owner is to be believed, his plastic is of a cheaper quality (perhaps thinner?) than Wheeljack and he feels very light. Silver paint apps are sparse too. Bit disappointing if true!
The Blue Bee is Hot Shot. Lovin those goggles!
@Jinto: Vehicon does look stunning doesn't he? Very interested to see the alt mode on this one, when I first saw him I thought it was the plane variant he looks so slick!

Hot Shot is odd, since the goggles were most prominently part of the Animated design over the Trilogy's visor. I will skip it, but am glad it's not Deep Sea Bumblebee or something like that.
Not keen on the new Voyagers or the new Revealers for Cliffjumper or Bumblebee, but the deluxe Vehicons, Wheeljack and Soundwave are on my desired list.

Was it really necessary to change the topic of my thread? :/ What was wrong with the very clear "Latest Transformers Prime Toy Images"?
From here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?p=282594#post282594), people were wanting everything to be covered in one news topic, which is not practical... so had to alter the topic title to reflect the temporary change:
I can't have everything in the one topic for three reasons:
1 - New news posts get lost among the many pages of comment posts... it makes it a lot easier to scroll through the main table instead, or do a search, for topics of specific subject matter.
2 - Most people don't come back to a topic after they've read the first post because the majority, if not all, is expected to be just comments or essay-length debates.
3 - I need separate topics for each news items for the Weekly News emails (which archives news items).
The compromise I can offer however, is to have an "all in topic (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=12713)" for the Early Waves of Prime toys (while they are coming out frequently) for those who prefer to just comment once... and, each distinctly different news item (not minor updates to existing news) will be copied into its own news topic for easy locating by those who aren't much interested in other peoples comments.
This duplication will only continue while there is demand (if there is demand), and while there is a frequent number of new Prime toy info/details making their way to the fansites.
People posting a new bit of news don't have to post it twice if they don't want to, and can post it in or out of the "all in topic (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=12713)" - as I will be keeping track of the news postings, and will paste copies into or out of the "all in topic (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=12713)" as deemed necessary, or while there is demand for it.
This is pretty much in line with the guidelines for the news sections, as significantly different news deserves its own topic for recognition and awareness of the members and guests of its existence... I'm just allowing for temporary grouping of news items into one topic, like the Fall of Cybertron Topic (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=12209) (it was convenient for the people wanting to post comments, but I'm sure I wasn't the only one who had trouble knowing about, or finding all the news posts buried among that 241 postings topic - hence testing the idea of duplicating news posts this time).

its convenient for me as i just like to visit the one thread and read everything - especially when so many new bits of info, pics and videos just suddenly pop up at the same time.
I'm very interested Voyager Megatron for the light up weapons but disappointed with the basically the same design as the deluxe version but with duller grey look.
The new Voyager Optimus is pretty terrible as well with the front wheels no longer transforming into the shoulders. That feature was what I most liked about the 1st ed. Prime. The new light up weapons do look pretty nice though.
Wheeljack seems really small :(
Soundwave I very much like in robot mode! he still looks like a penis plane though :p
All in all, the TFPrime line is looking to be really solid this year.

There's a link to a larger gallery on the page.
He looks alright. Massive shins, from the side-on pic but otherwise nice proportions that seem more or less show accurate. And it looks like they made a reasonably curvy-ish robot form from that boxy alt-mode. I can't help but be a little disappointed... there is a distinctive step down from the 1stED' figures. And the 'cheating' trend continues - he has fake doors on his chest. I'll still pick him up, he looks good and I enjoy his character on the show. Once I have him in hand maybe it'll turn out that I'm just biased because all I've had to play with so far is 'Scream, and he leaves big shoes to fill.
What are your initial impressions?
Zippo
27th January 2012, 03:51 PM
Need to see him beside the released mainline Prime Toys and the FE toys to see if he is in scale.
Looks very nice in robot mode and while the arms need more red on them, and there are parts that need more paint applications, overall it looks great. I can understand why the legs look the way they do and it doesn't bother me.
Alt mode .. not so good sadly.

Ratchet's mold looks great, scale will likely be off but the thing that is really driving me nuts here is the absolute pitiful effort in paint apps: 2 maybe 3? - WTF!?!
Clearly Hasbro's flubbing of the DOTM line is affecting the TF: Prime figures which is so very sad, all I want to hear now is that Hasbro AU will guarantee Australians with a healthy supply of TF: Prime Soundwaves - If we see TF: Prime figures at all that is.
