For those looking out for the opening of non-attendee registration packages for BotCon this year, it has been put off a week (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/botcon-2012-registration-for-nonattending-moved-to-next-week/23667/), so should be up middle of this next week.

Bet they are doing some major server prep after the usual fiasco that tends to take place with registrations. :p

Non-attending registration has started now.
But I got an error message from their server when I processed my order. :(

Took 10 tries to process my order.
Now a little worried I've ordered 10 box sets :o

Got mine in one hit. Odd though, I forgot to click the terms and conditions box and it thought it was all good.
I hate their $6 online processing fee, as if we have any other choice, shouldn't something like that end up being in the price?

And to think that they reassured us that the processing fee was to be one-off in the first year, to pay for the initial setup of the whole system (with any ongoing fees to be included in future prices, as they have kept the same framework, just changed some of the details each year).

You mean the Club has lied to us? OMG I don't believe it.
Actually, I expect it nowadays.:p

This is the only year where I'm even vaguely excited about the exclusives. Now if I can just secure Runabout, I'd be a happy camper....

How much is the set including shipping for a non-attendee?

The box set is $350, shipping is either $54 or $64 depending on whether normal or express post, $30 for insurance if you want it.
Loose set, which can only be bought if you buy the box set, is $250.

Yeah I am not sure if it's worth it for me as out of the whole set, I am only really interested in one toy and that's barely.
If the club treats me right and I continue to be a member for next year, I might buy the Botcon set then if it is appealing. Right now my only reason for joining was Runamuck and Runabout.

Yes, Runamuck and Runabout are vitally important to me too! :D

hi Hursti!
I guess the main reason is that they are all "Classic" type characters and suitable for expanding my "Classic"-verse. The Battlechargers are hands-down very excellent and extremely suitable tributes given the mold.
Very simplistically....
Overlord - like the tank mode and the colours do make him very Overlord-y, although the robot mode is strange.
Metalhawk - I think the pain applications are good and I don't mind another "Pretender" to joint the fold.
SG Tracks - could actually be Road Rage, a lady bot.
SG Thread Shot - nice mold and a nice tribute to Armada Sideswipe (whose colour scheme I like) and is 1 of only 4 Armada toys that I own.
SG Soundwave - for the missus
SG Ultra Magnus - the only one I don't care about.

Hey dude. :D
It is good that they're giving it a classics focus and that with their SG figures they're trying to make them as 'Classicsverse compatible' as possible but with regards to the Battlechargers; Mate, I couldn't agree with you more and they are the 2 that are really making me seriously consider a membership if I can find the funds. ;)
With regards to the BOTCON figures known thus far though:
Overlord - It does looks quite superb in Alt mode, I don't think it pulls off Bot mode though either.
Metalhawk - I'm not against more Pretenders entering the fold either, this would also make the 1st Autobot Pretender character to be done wouldn't it?
SG Tracks - This has many applications and is a smart move IMO, I could get behind this one. :)
SG Thread Shot - Oh really?, didn't think you'd own an Armada figure dude so I can see why it has that appeal to you and many others; Especially seeing as though the original toy was so horrible. :p
SG Soundwave - I hope E likes it, because man I sure don't... :o
SG Ultra Magnus - I admire what they aimed for, but I reckon they totally buggered this one, the head is spooky but just used on the wrong figure... That's the only part I like about it. :D
I'm curious to see what else comes out of the works for BOTCON this year, but I think they've direly dropped the ball compared to their work last year; I really don't care for the Animated aesthetic but last year's set was far and away a superiorly creative one IMO.

I do like this year's botcon figures. The other year that I also liked is the Games of Deception year (2007?).
It's just me though, perhaps not everyone's cup of tea... but Runamuck and Runabout, I'm sure will be extremely popular!

Oh yeah, especially if they come with little spray cans! :D

I don't think the set is as good as it could be, while the concept is good and I love the Generations/RTS molds .. there is something missing.
If I could have though I would have got a non attending boxed set as well as the loose set so I can have more Classic'verse toys in the collection.
