Hey Guys,

I've been thinking about getting a Lego Train Set and I'm hoping someone here might have already bought one of these and can thus answer my questions.

1. Are they worth it?
2. Have you had any issues with them?
3. Roughly how much space would it take up?
4. Did you find you needed to buy 2 different sets to make 1 decent set?

Any gerneral suggestions/recommendations are appreciated as well.

I don't have a LEGO train set, but perhaps you could browse this forum for your questions:

The trains are great. A little pricey but if you can pick them up on sale its always great fun.

They do take up a bit of room though when you set up the track. But if you just have the trains themselves set up they are fine. The remotes for them are pretty good too. And being Lego, if you don't like the design of the train just build your own.

It also depends what you want to do with it. If you are planning to set up a city display on a table or something you need to have a train. They always make the cities look good.

There haven't been any real issues with the ones I have. Unless you count the train coming off the track at high speed because I didn't slow down for the corner, but that is more my bad control.

I have one for sale (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?p=218128) if you were interested though.

I knew someone here would be able to answer me, so thanks for the info guys, it leaves me with a bit to think about.

Is the train you're selling GP been assembled before or is it all still sealed in the box?

Sealed. I had picked it up as part of a special at Myer as a spare. Figured someone would want it cheap. It was 3677 (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=3677-1) Red Cargo Train
