This week sees the release of the first issue of an 12 part comic story that's being released by IDW as a digital comic.
The art is by Livio Ramondelli (who did the art on the Cybertron-issues of Chaos) and written by Flint Dille (G1 cartoon writer) and Chris Metzen.
From the IDW forums thread (http://forum.idwpublishing.com/viewtopic.php?t=11129&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60):
Fans can expect to see a very pivotal part of the backstory to IDW's continuity, and what led to the falling out between Megatron and Optimus Prime. It's certainly a big story for both of them. In many ways, the story helps to shape who the modern Optimus Prime is. The beginning of Autocracy picks up sometime not too far after James Roberts' awesome "Chaos Theory" story.
Although 12 parts it's only 8 pages per chapter, and it's a biweekly release (in theory a chapter each week inbetween releases of the ongoing).
It's only being released online so if you want to read it you'll need to signup at Comixology (http://www.comixology.com/) or download one of the Smartphone app.
I couldn't find a price per issue yet, but we'll know on Thursday (released Wednesday in the US).
