Takara BW Transmetal Megatron, worth it?

Hey guys. I've been seriously considering getting the Takara version of Transmetal Megs. There are a couple of him on ebay in a 2-pack with Primal for around the $220 mark (after postage) which is pretty steep for me, so I'm not rushing in to anything.

What do those of you with experience think of the Takara TM Megatron? Is he 100% Gold Plastic Syndrome free?

I don't want to spend that money on a figure unless I'm absolutely sure.

PS: If anyone has a Takara Megs they're considering selling, lose/boxed, whatever, hit me up.

In a word? - YES!
Takara's version is 100% GPS/BPS free as it uses a different dye, Black, and a different plastic compound to my understanding - I bought one and I'm glad I did. ;):cool:

I really want this toy. Waited years for a TM Megatron. Broke him straight out of the box. Noones fault but my own. I was told not to open him and I did it anyway.
I heard about the Takara one and have been looking ever since.

Best bet would be eBay dude, otherwise it'd likely be a case of heading over to HK or Japan unless there are some online stores with some listings... The main 3 or 4 don't have him unfortunately. :o

I recommend getting a D-40 Megatron metals (BW Japan Transmetal Megatron/BW METALS Megatron) figure.
If you have that "wary of breakage" feeling when playing around with the Hasbro version then you need this figure! Transforming (Terrorising?)the D-40,you can notice that the different plastic is far better(doesn't resist movement,feel brittle,etc..) than the Hasbro version.
I picked up one mib complete last year for US$31 and US$20 postage on ebay,so they are out there,keep searching!!
I also recommend the unicron.com golden disks set!
